Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs is planning to challenge House Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy for the GOP nomination to be speaker of the House when the caucus convenes Tuesday to choose its nominee, GOP sources said Monday evening.
"Andy Biggs will be a candidate," said Rep. Bob Good of Virginia. "He will announce tomorrow." Good, like Biggs, is a member of the conservative House Freedom Caucus, which has been divided on whether McCarthy deserves their support. Good said he would support Biggs' candidacy.

GOOD.
Ironically, another 10 moderate seats would have given the conservatives LESS power than they will now have.

Should’t we wait and see if the GOP actually wins the House before candidates step up? Also, if it is a one or two seat majority, the Democrats can cause all sorts of trouble with weak Republicans including crossovers.

I don’t know anything about Biggs but he has to be better than what we have now. If I had a vote, I would vote for:
Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs

Now Hannity set up a straw man and says he’d rather do three things rather than have an Investigation of Biden and the scandals.

Electing the Speaker of the House of Representatives: Frequently Asked Questions Updated September 22, 2022
When Does an Election for Speaker Occur?
Upon convening at the start of a new Congress, the House elects a Speaker by roll call vote.1 If a Speaker dies, resigns, or is removed during a Congress, the House elects a new Speaker at that time.2 In the most recent cases of an election held during the middle of a Congress, the practice has been to elect a new Speaker using the same process as at the start of a Congress. What they are doing is WRONG. The new members get no say whatsoever on who the nominees are.

"Guess what - Red Wave in 2024 Now!"
I didn't believe there was going to be a red wave this time around, specifically because of the voter fraud. The other evening, someone posted a video of Mark Levin who said that in 2024 2/3rds of House Democrats will be up for re-election, and that it will be harder for them in 2024 to win the number of seats they need to retake control. That would be nice, but when you throw unlimited, and unchallenged voter fraud into the mix, they could completely take over all 435 seats, and nobody would bat an eyelash. They'd just blame Trump again for the big losses.

Marjorie Taylor Greene announced her support for McCarthy today. Says it’s a mistake to support anyone else.

My suggestion to the very MAGA Rep. Biggs; be careful, be very careful. I do not think the Unipartys are very far from Stalin’s ‘disappearing’ acts and are very very close to his ‘reeducation camps’.

The start of the new Congress is in January 2023 — when all the newly elected House members ARE involved in the vote for House Speaker.
The Republican Party is holding their “primary” right now — which is not a formal vote in the House — to see who they want to put up as their contender for the post.

Both McCarthy and Biggs have relatively the same ratings from conservative organizations.
