Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said Monday on CNN’s “This Morning” that he was meeting with Senat Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) in the wake of midterm election results to convince Republican senators to ditch so-called “MAGA Republicans.”
Co-host Kaitlan Collins said, “Are you going to talk to Mitch McConnell? What does that look like?”
Schumer said, “I’m going to say to the Republicans in the Senate who are not the MAGA Republicans, stop letting them lead your party. Work with us to get things done. I intend to sit down with Mitch McConnell and express that.”

McConnell should always be labeled as a poor candidate.

Handsome or not. Polish makes no difference. The less accepted in polite company the better. Don't care what he looks like, and don't care if others don't regard him as a "gentleman".

I will paraphrase General Patton from his famous speech to the Third Army:
I don't want any emails or postings saying 'Let's wait until they hold the next election cycle.' We're not holding a G-d thing. We're advancing constantly and we're not interested in holding anything except the Anti-American Democrats and RINO balls. We're going to hold them by by their balls and we're going to kick them in the ass; twist their balls and kick the living s**t out of them all the time. Our plan of operation is to advance and keep on advancing. We're going to go through the Democrats and RINOs like s**t through a tinhorn.
There will be some complaints that we're pushing our people too hard. I don't give a damn about such complaints. I believe that an ounce of sweat will save a gallon of our country's lifeblood. The harder we push, the more Democrats and RINOs we get out of office. The more Democrats and RINOs we get out of office, the further away from the abyss our beloved country will get. Pushing harder means fewer casualties. I want you all to remember that. My allies don't surrender. I don't want to hear of any person on my side submitting unless he or she is in a coma and out of action. Even if you are in a coma and out of action, you can still fight. That's not just bulls**t either.
Don't forget, you don't know I'm here at all. No word of that fact is to be mentioned in any letters. The world is not supposed to know what the hell they did with me. I'm not supposed to be in any kind of leadership role. I'm not even supposed to be on TV. Let the first bastards to find out be the G-d Leftists. Some day, I want them to rise up on their piss-soaked hind legs and howl 'Ach! It's the G-d Conservative Party and that son-of-a-bitch Trump again!'
Which means that we should do the opposite of what Schumer wants.

I remember House Freedom Caucus congressman Jim Jordan telling the story about how, after the big Tea Party win, he went to then Speaker of the House John Boehner to talk about what they could accomplish regarding the budget.
Boehner told him to pound sand and went and cut a deal between the RINOs and Democrats.
There will be more MAGA conservatives in the 2023 congress. But, will they have the votes to affect policy and spending?
