Every time a saw or read a Mastriano campaign ad, I got the impression I was seeing a candidate who molded his campaign around focus groups he held in his local VFW and American Legion halls.

I don’t think the guy made any effort to get a single vote from anyone who wasn’t already going to vote for him.

If anyone cares… Mastriano won… it was stolen.

You’re right. Mastriano had no idea what he was doing. Basically everything he did was wrong. It was truly amazing how stupid he was.

He pretended to be a MAGA candidate in the mold of Trump but then did none of the big things Trump did: Stand up to the media, hold big events, use advertising, mingle with the people.

He mostly just went to tiny churches and resthomes and made rambling discussions on Facebook to people who already liked him.

Shapiro got what he paid for with those ads. Mastriano needs to go away forever. Total embarrassment.

No one should concede to obvious voting fraud.

“His and the rest of the PA GOP legislature’s failure to realize the disaster that was Act 77 cost him his own governorship.”

And may have very well cost us the 2020 election.

If we get a case to SCOTUS, i’d say it’s a 50/50 shot they will declare mail ins and ballot harvesting illegal.

Restrict the use of absentee ballots to military only. So there's no room for abuse.

I don't understand why people are conceding without a fight.

Seems to me the rats may have cheated on an even larger scale, than they did in 2020?

Trump didn’t endorse Mastriano until the weekend before the primary election in PA. He (Trump) can recognize a loser from a mile away, and I’m sure he was desperately hoping someone else would rise to the top of the GOP field.

yeah. he didn’t sponsor or draft any of it.

my understanding is though that he voted for in in committee and on the floor, so please correct me if i’m wrong.

he should have raised the alarm instantly once he read it.

Indeed. Trump knew Mastriano was a strange character. Very similar to Josh Mandel of Ohio in his freakish personality.

But I guess someone told Trump it would help his primary percentages to endorse at the last minute. Definitely should have kept his powder dry, which he mostly did in the general. Trump supported Oz much more because he knew Oz had a much better chance.

And the ballot results show that. More than 250k people picked Oz than Mastriano.

Mastriano is just one more in a long line of mediocrities who has never worked outside of government. For all his flaws, Dr. Oz was a successful man long before he ever made his first campaign appearance.

I voted for Lou Barletta in the primary. He’s a true conservative with decades of experience running a business. He’s been in politics long enough to know his way around and appoint the right people. He is focused on the border problem and all the damage Gov Wolf has done to PA. I met him and his entire family at a Tea Party debate in the Spring. Plus, he didn’t go to Jan 6 so Shapiro wouldn’t have been able to trash him relentlessly on that. He would have been a great governor for us.

Democrats got what they paid for. It’s that simple. Anytime Democrats run ads for a Republican candidate, that should tell you everything you need to know about the candidate.

Yep. We've been falling for this trick since at least 2010.

What the hell do you think Fetterman and Shapiro are. They both are full blown communist but no one talks about how bad they are for Pennsylvania and the country. Why are the only bad candidates always Republicans?

The difference is that horrible Democrat candidates are still electable.

Horrible Republican candidates are not.

I would have voted for Barletta in the GOP primary in PA, too.

From what I've heard from people who have been his supporters for a long time, he really doesn't seem to have the energy to run a strong campaign anymore -- and it showed.

He also had a very big obstacle to overcome in 2022: He had already lost a statewide election in PA in 2018, and he was going to have to convince Republican voters that his prospects were much better in 2022.

Yup.

It is like a bank telling the robbers they can keep the stolen cash because ya know democracy....
