He was never even close to Reaganesque. Not in terms of sunny happy personality (vs grumpy face), or brilliant reactionary cute jabs (vs attack-first childish name-calling), or even general communication.
Look at TV in 1960 or now versus TV in 2000 or 2020, or America in 1940 and America now. One gave us Reagan, the other gave us Trump. You aren’t going to get a Reagan now, no more than an Eisenhower.

Well, I will not argue too much against that. As I see it, Trump is 2/3 Patton and 1/3 Reagan. That’s way too much Patton! Patton had Eisenhower to protect him. Trump has no such protector.
So the wild and crazy things that Trump says simply goes out there, unfiltered and unprotected. Chaos results.
