Bore! Donald Trump has gone and lost his swing
New York Post ^ | November 12, 2022 | Michael Goodwin

Posted on 11/13/2022 5:00:29 AM PST by karpov

For Donald Trump, politics and entertainment are intertwined and often synonymous. His remarkable success at both makes his latest missteps especially puzzling because Trump is committing the cardinal sin of both: He’s become boring.

The ultimate shock jock is now predictable. Wind him up and watch him throw a garbage can full of insults at anyone who won’t kiss the ring. Ho-hum.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin are getting the Trump treatment now. Both are rising Republican stars, so naturally the former president trashes and demeans them. Can’t be competition for top dog.

Long gone is the time when Trump brought fresh blood to the old and tired Republican Party. “Low energy Jeb” brilliantly ended the career of a nominee-in-waiting, and his demolition of Hillary Clinton saved America from a disaster.

Trump’s was a consequential presidency that was far better for America and its global allies than anything produced by his predecessor or his successor. His Operation Warp Speed delivered a COVID-19 vaccine in record time, America was more prosperous and the world was safer and more stable with him in the Oval Office.

Trump achieved those gains despite a corrupt FBI, a conspiratorial Deep State, a rabid media and impeachment-obsessed Dems. He deserved a second term and, had he let his America First policies do the talking, would have had one.

Even after his reckless efforts to overturn the 2020 election and the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, enough goodwill remained that victory in a 2024 primary and the general election remained possible. But Trump’s conduct in his post-presidency has been so erratic that a declining slice of voters hungers for his return.

I noticed it right away. So predictable at this point. Why do people keep falling for it.

A little help please.

How do you consider truth to be a hit piece?

By disparaging the Governors, Trump went a bridge too far

I agree with you, I know I’m sick of it. But, the election is 2 years from now and most will declare and start campaigning for the primaries in the next 5 months. I think cable news with their 24/7 news and soapbox for preferred candidates has led to the Pres. race being 24/7/365 for 4 years.

As leader of the GOP, Trump has lost the last 3 elections.

“Both are rising Republican stars”

Correction: Both are being used by the Paul Ryan/Mitch McConnell establishment rino globalists to destroy MAGA and put the R wing of the uniparty back into power.

I agree with the above completely.

I’ll be tuning out for the most part. FR is becoming caustic and annoying already.

You nailed it .
Trump is also known as not being a nice person which is why he has very very few loyal staff .
Trump made the Midterms about him not the Issues again .
He was a distraction who got us stuck with DR OZ .
He funded NOBODY and kept the money Himself .
We need a Dignified Person who is brilliant like Desantis who cleaned up the S FL voting cabal the most corrupt Dem cesspools in the country .
Hillary only visit to SFL was to a private visit with the Black Broward County
Voting Chief that Desantis quietly Canned .
New Yorker Micheal Goodwin a Goper knows Trump personally .
He is just telling the truth .
We need to stop the Trump sideshow . Its hurting the cause .

Oh that is my favorite.

Trump is a genius always thinking about what move to make. All his constant tweeting while supposed to be dealing with real issues was genius.

That includes that his recent tirades against Repubs are to get them sympathy so they can take over the reins.

Geesh.

Sycophantic.

At this rate, the republican party will soon be a dead party. They won’t even be able to get anyone elected dogcatcher.

From what I’ve seen over the years, it is not pure hyperbole.

Just because you refuse to recognize the sycophantism doesn’t mean it is not there.

Kind of like Dems don’t call themselves communists, but they are.

Nope, the half that thinks for itself and is not swept up in the cult of personality.

Release yourselves from thralldom to a man.

McConnell is running expensive TV ads during college football for Walker. It was the first attack ad on Warnock ad I’ve seen at all here in Jax. That “votes with Biden 96% of the time” should have been drilled into every GA voter. Obviously, it wasn’t.

Be careful you may get a good lashing. I agree Trump is
history as a candidate but he can help with his support
to get a strong candidate elected. The question is WILL HE..
EGO abounds in all of us to some degree. Have a good day.

“Well, we really have to find a conservative that the establishment supports. /s”

The media too

I’m told by my pearl-clutching friends that DeSantis fits. He’s a nice young family man. He’s not actually running, of course, but he’s their Ken doll. He’ll do as they say or at least give them an image they can compare and attack Trump with They don’t see how the media will attack him if he steps one foot out of Florida including supporting a national figure lie… Trump

He follows tgat order.

I hope that we surprise them all and support him when he declares! When they figure out that it won’t work, it will drive them more insane, and insane people make mistakes. In order to win a war, you must know who you are up against. It is not specifically Democrats, but it is the corrupt media, who are the tools of the Washington Administrative Machine. So if we can reform the media, then we can address the Washington Elites where they reside. Emulate Soros’s methods - go after the judges, the District Attorneys, the State Houses, etc., and when you destroy the base of the elites, the rest will fall.

...wishful thinking, and I’d like to be there with you ... but NOPE, the silent majority will be watching for the next masked singer as they are marched off to reeducation camps. Look at the millions of Brazilians in the street after their election steal cause they saw the Maduro disaster next door and know Lulu has the same plan... we look at Trudeau and don’t even blink or support the protesting truckers whose bank accounts were frozen. We just look to see what ball game is on TV next. Time to lock and load... or find a safer island! ...ymmv
