The FBI report we've long needed

Whistleblowers are coming forward, and a disturbing picture of the Bureau is getting clearer.

The actions of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have been questionable as of late under the leadership of Christopher Wray.

We could dive back into the way the bureau acted upon raiding former president Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate earlier this year. But their actions go much deeper, with reports about surveillance and even spying on emails of private American citizens in the hopes of finding criminal activity.

There's about to be a spotlight shining down on the FBI. House Republicans have released a 1,000-page report that details just what's wrong with the FBI, thanks to a number of former agents-turned-whistleblowers who detail just how bad things have gotten there.

"The Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the stewardship of Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland, is broken," the report explains. "The problem lies not with the majority of front-line agents who serve our country, but with the FBI's politicized bureaucracy."

Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee detail the report as "the first comprehensive accounting of the FBI's problems to date, which undermine" its "fundamental law-enforcement mission."

People could say this is a political move that will serve Republicans going into their elections, but that's an easy dismissal when the report actually takes a look at something concrete: the problems within the bureau.

And there are problems. They are hard to ignore. A number of whistleblowers who understand the inner workings of the bureau's office have noted that its leadership is "rotted at its core." They also seem to highlight what they call "a systematic culture of unaccountability," consistently utilizing "rampant corruption, manipulation and abuse."

The deep state corruption goes far deeper than the FBI, but it would be a good place to start the cleanup and clear out.

They’ve been questionable since long before Wray. They’re just more questionable under his “leadership”.

Won’t matter unless we get the House.

Long overdue, and criminal charges need to be brought forth as well.

“The problem lies not with the majority of front-line agents who serve our country, but with the FBI’s politicized bureaucracy.”

Did Sean Hannity write this report? I’d like to know how the report came to this conclusion ... an agency that is expert at creating evidence and making other evidence disappear.... that can’t give a relevant answer to a direct question... the honorable front line agents should be resigning.

“Who will clean up the FBI? Biden?”

Well if anything in the District of Corruption ever gets cleaned up, Biden and the Democrats have to do it. We all know damn good and well the Republicans will not.

They are truly the All Hat & No Cattle Party

It’s not only that the FBI is corrupted it was always going to be corrupt. It was inevitable that it would become a deep state Stasi-like spy agency for the establishment. It must be disassembled and placed on the dustbin of history. The FBI currently only exists to defend itself and its deep-state benefactors. Beware anyone who proposes a reform path for the FBI. Don’t leave this for your grandkids to fix.

I saw Ted Cruz has a book out on how the FBI was weaponized. Haven't read it.

I believe that is the true case. I do believe the majority of the rank & file are good people.

It's kind of like Worldcom, formerly MCI. The workers were good people, but the leadership were crooked as can be. Does that mean most were crooked and only a few were honest? No, not the case at all.

I spit my coffee on my monitor reading that. Surely you didn't type that with a straight face!?

Exactly. Any agent today is either working with the corrupt administrators or is complacent with their efforts. There are no good agents, just like there are no good Nazis.

Republicans have released a 1,000-page report ...

Uh oh, now the FIB is in deep trouble. There's a 1,000 page report!!!!

Fact is, the FIB was created in 1908 by EO during a Congressional recess (although that probably wouldn't have stopped 'em). Can go 'Poof!' by EO as well. It's founding and early use was nefarious, going against the noble-sounding charge for it. And, has grown ever since.

If we're taking out the trash, should include the CIA as well (JFK: "Tear the CIA into a thousand pieces and throw into the wind").

“good people” see a wrong, and try to right it.
Complacent people sit in their cubicles and hope no one notices, while they collect their paychecks.
The good people, in this case, are the whistleblowers, who took their time, but eventually came forward.
The rest are part of the problem.

Am I wrong in thinking that there are Senators who are up for reelection frequently.

Will there be any senatorial elections next year?

Is there some hope that the wicked voting machines will ever be outlawed?

Does next year hold any hope that we can finally stop the cheating and just have clean, clear elections?

Don’t bother to answer, I already know.

If the FBI had been attacking dems at the behest of republicans - I know, the thought that lazy RINOs would have the fight to do such a thing, however corrupt is laughable - front line agents would have been leaking to the press left right and center.
