It’s a twofer people. You besmirch Desantis by calling him a gay rapist and then end it by blaming the false accusation on a Trump supporter.
In 1945 Labor was certainly better organized and had a coherent playbook. The Conservatives had in one way or another been in power since 1930 and had become distracted with personal issues, including an unspoken cleavage between the Churchill-national party types and many back benchers who dislikes and distrusted Churchill and only stuck to him as a national figure. These people intensely disliked the national party interventionist foreign policy and blamed Churchill for the impending destruction of the Empire and the financial bankruptcy of GB. They never believed going to war with Germany was anything but a guarantee of the end of British power. The Conservatives had been losing by elections steadily for four years. Because Britain is a parliamentry government that means elections are local but are the voice of the voter on national parties. These loses telegraphed a deep shift in public opinion the divided Conservative Party did nothing to investigate and develop a coping strategy for. Why the Conservatives were so optimistic in going into the election is that the party took the easy and lazy way out and equated Churchill with Victory in the greatest war in history which would equate overwhelming voter gratitude at the ballot box.
But Churchill and the Tories were back in 1950, when Brits realized that Labour couldn’t deliver on the promises of Socialism.
If DeSantis does that he is toast! I will not vote because it won’t make any difference our party leaders are Democrats and sheep’s clothing. There’s no difference whatsoever between our party leaders and the Democrats they’re all the same but for a handful! We need to regroup and fight like wild animals and cheat and start harvesting ballots etc you name it whatever It takes to win exactly the way the rats do we should …mirror image them!!
Yes, the realities of an administrative state and the austerities it necessitated was not expected, nor was rationing of many basic products which continued to 1952 due to the combination of exhaustion of British finances and the large capital outlays for the welfare state along with maintaining a large military establishment and an active foreign policy. Great Britain became a virtual US financial client state between 1947 and 1956 as it was the super domino shoring up Nato and providing the US with a huge unsinkable aircraft carrier. Most Britons in 1945 simply did not understand their great power status was dependent upon the US exchecker.

Now we know that DeSantis is replacing Trump as the Most Hated Person By The Left because he is a real threat to their stranglehold on power.

The MSM/Hollywood have done so many times more attacks on Trump who also lets this kind of thing “bounce right off his back”. But the attacks remain relentless against Trump, and this TV show is yet another one that is actually against Prez Trump for those too stupid not to figure that out.
They will do the same to DeSantis. This TV show is very insidious as it is a twofer. It attacks both men; seeks to drive a wedge between each man’s Pub camps, and smears both men as evil in some manner; DeSantis a sex perv (as that is the meme that will stick in viewer’s minds) and Trump as an evil conniver who will do anything to achieve his political ends. I can tell from some of the comments on this thread that already some gullible Freepers can’t ascertain that which is actually going on here.
I might add that Fox Cable News has gone on a full frontal attack against Trump, blaming election losses solely at the feet of Trump, bringing out their hired arsenal of hosts/contributors to go after Trump relentlessly on show after show after show. All the Bushbots and anti-Trumpers they have hired (thanks to Paul Ryan on Fox’s Board of Directors) in cahoots with Murdoch who has gone total anti-Trump.
Their new main attack dog is Marc Thiessen who was a G.W. Bush speechwriter, and is now everywhere on all news shows badmouthing Trump big-time. He knows where his ambitions lie on Fox. Along with Karl Rove, Bushbot, who has been vicious and has actively worked against all Trump endorsed candidates through the Pub anti-Trump PACs/financiers he is associated with.
Then there is Dana Perino (Bush’s press secretary), and the various recent turncoats getting their subtle anti-Trump digs in such as Kayleigh McEnany most recently, as well as former Pub Congressman Jason Chaffetz, and others, all turning on Trump. Then there is of course, Brit Hume who is good buds with Jeb Bush who retired to FL near where the Bush family has one of their enclaves, and goes out boating with the Bush family, while slamming Trump at every chance he gets. Trump isn’t genteel, political blue bloods enough for Hume, don’t you know. He snarls with contempt for Trump openly on Fox.
His acolyte Brett Baier who calls Hume his mentor and took over Hume’s former show (and it appears has had some facial plastic surgery recently although he denies it, as he is definitely not photogenic) only has Bushbots, RINO’s, and anti-Trumpers on his show night after night, slamming Trump at every turn. Then there is Trey Gowdy, another Pub wimp who spends so much of his Sunday night show moralizing with his constant sermons of “can’t we all get together?”
There are others, but I can’t go on forever, or can I? Fox News disgusts me; it’s Newsmax that is the antidote to the obvious and constant onslaught of anti-Trump garbage that is now being fed to their news audience on a Fox 24/7 basis. Oh, I forgot Brian Kilmeade who is a total ass-kisser and takes periodic potshots at Trump now, ever since he figured out it was politically advantageous to his ambitions on Fox, now that the worm has turned and Rupert Murdoch has gone totally against Trump. All of Fox staff are now modifying their rhetoric or going silent regarding Trump accordingly. With the exception of their big star money makers Jesse Watters, Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham (their weeknight lineup) and Fox & Friends Weekend Hegseth/Cain/Duffy, and Mark Levin (all of whom keep Murdoch financially alive so he can’t over influence their speech).
The rest of Fox News is going down the anti-Trump hill with great rapidity. Can’t trust their commentary any further than I can throw it these days. I know I’ve missed some of the new Murdoch hack anti-Trump storm troopers, but lucky for all of you, this is it for now.

The episode supposedly blames Trump. The timing was planned perfectly to go along with the elections.
