I think people are scared to go against McConnell because they’ll be punished if he doesn’t lose.

Mitch is good on defense and when GOP on minority. But he stinks as majority leader. He bores the shit out of everyone, has no flair or urgency, and spends the funding the wrong way. Plus he is a long time swamp creature. Ron Johnson as majority leader

Of course she is.

She represents a state that has more white people on welfare than any place in the world outside the United Kingdom. She's 100% beholden to outside PAC money to fund her campaigns.

Seemingly underperformed?

There anly two greoups who think Trump under performed....those who are determined to end his political career and those who do not understand what really happened in this election.

Remember the old adage: All politics is local. By that measure conservatives have made huge gains and will be a strong factor going into the 2024 eklection.

She always was.

Nothing changes until you get rid of the GOP establishment people who are in charge.

Nothing changed after the 2010 Mid Term beating of 63 lost House seats handed to Obama - the establishment just went along with Obama om almost everything.

A state with 88% GOP majority in the state house should be able to do better than both of them. They just need someone to separate from the deep red field.

Republican Party will go the way of the Whig Party. People like McConnell, Cornyn, McCarthy, etc will never willingly give up control and the base will not accept them as representing their party. If Trump is nominated I expect a so-called moderate Republican will run against him as an independent in the General election ensuring Democrat win.

If Trump is ousted or does not win the primaries then his loyal followers will stay home and the Democrat party will win the election and at the state level.

We are in a mess as true conservatives. Fighting among ourselves is exactly what the left wants.

This is why trump should have formed a whole new party. Most if not all of his supporters would have immediately joined it. The GOP would have instantly become 3rd.
