The Biden administration for the first time will send Ukraine four Avenger air defense systems as part of its latest $400 million weapons package, the Pentagon announced Thursday.
The most recent lethal aid tranche — which comes less than a week after the Defense Department on Nov. 4 announced a $400 million military assistance package — comes as the Russian military has announced a withdrawal from the southern city of Kherson, though the move is viewed as a possible ruse to inflict massive casualties on Ukrainian forces. It also drops during a brutal Kremlin missile barrage on major Ukrainian cities and infrastructure, which began last month.

Basically Humvee mounted stingers and a .50 caliber machine gun. The NASAMS, with much better range, will be the real game changer.

Meh, on this issue I flat out disagree with many of you guys. Ukraine is defending itself from a totally cruel invasion, and I’m happy to have my tax dollars go to help them out.
Ukraine gets its weapons via the lend and lease act.
These weapons are not given to Ukraine.
They are going to pay it all back after the war.
Giving reconstruction contracts to American firms.
How about using that reconstruction cash to rebuild hurricane ravaged Florida?
Here is the US govt. commitment to helping Florida as of Oct. 5th. I don’t have more recent information.
I for one am happy to have my tax dollars used to help both Ukraine and Florida.
The US should send them 60mm HE mortar shells to drop from drones. Provided the drones can carry up to four pounds.

If America let its allies be invaded by communism and the neo-soviet warmongering machine led by the Kremlin, America’s economy will collapse. The EU is the US biggest customer. It produces a lot of jobs for Americans. The EU also buys high-priced American oil. And there are special raw-materials and know-how only EU has that America needs for its industry.
Letting Russia bit by bit invade Europe would produce an unnecessary super strong front against America once Russia has completed its total invasion of Europe. Kremlin would run all of it! Who wants that? Would that be good for Americas Economy? Alone against a communist front?
The west winning in Ukraine will produce an economical rebound for America.
Generally speaking Europe support’s America, It spent billions and hundreds of EU soldiers when America was at war against radical Islam in Afghanistan for example - after 911.
The west is at war with neo-sovietism. We can win this - together.

The thing is...
We don’t have the luxury of choosing one or the other.
We need multitasking - helping Florida while fighting against communism. Stopping the ongoing military Russian invasion of parts of Europe... is now.
If we wait... Kremlin wins and Americas economy would totally implode. America’s economy cant survive a month without its economical partners in Europe.
