Wednesday, the anchors of CNBC’s “Money Minute,” a segment on “NBC Now” streaming news platform, discussed a recent survey from Intelligent.com. that found 73% of President Biden’s student debt forgiveness anticipated recipients say they will spend the extra income on non-essential items including dining out and travel.

Anchor Deirdre Bosa said, “It could be easy as well for some people to enjoy travel and eating out rather than worrying about the future. One financial coach tells CNBC.com that you should not use the loan forgiveness only for long-term goals because your short-term self might get frustrated.”

She added, “Try to achieve a balance that lets you also invest in your future.”

A gift to already affluent slackers and wealthy on the backs of working class.

And morons who like this think it’s social justice..think they are for the poor and working class.

It’s graft plain and simple.

I read that 25 million signed up to receive loan forgiveness and that those 25 million were probably a block vote for democrats as the word was out that the Republicans were going to kill the program. I hope they do!!!.

When the Courts get through with this illegal insertion of Federal legerdemain into a private transaction between over-educated idiots and lenders, there won’t be any college tuition bailouts. But there will be 24 million pissed off snowflakes who will blame the Fed - that is, Biden - for taking away their dreamers of more free stuff.

Just doing exactly what they did the first time with the money from the student loans. It was squandered on living expenses, parties and a piss poor choice of a major. The pattern will repeat. The loans need to be repaid by those to signed for them and used the funds for their own personal benefit. It is not appropriate to dump the repayment burden on parties who derived no benefit.

Election statistics point to Gen Z voting Democrat as the reason for the red wave failure. Biden buying votes with other people's money. The damage is done. We're stuck with another 2 years of defective governance.

One Gen Z Twitter poster was reveling in the contribution to electing Democrats. She said she deserves a "place at the table" for this contribution. Hey sweetie...food and fuel shortages are going to happen because of the Democrats you elected and re-elected. You're not getting a seat at my table. Perhaps someone else will feed you.

a piss poor choice of a major.

In a more sane world, banks would decide whether or not to give a student loan, and on what terms, based on what the applicant intended to study. In a more sane world, banks would monitor the student's performance in his chosen course of study to determine whether or not to continue giving a loan, and on what terms. An engineering student, for example, would be more likely to receive a loan than a gender grievance studies student.

Many people get a graduate degree paid for by their employers. Generally, the degree must be in some course of study relevant to the employer and the student must maintain a minimum "B" average.

They may spend more on food but they'll get less because ... inflation!

Biden giveth ... Biden taketh away. Mostly taketh away unless he needs to buy your vote.

The text is a little more accurate than the title.

...anticipated recipients...

How are they going to spend "anticipated" money?

I’ll wager everything I own that the respondents are lying here. They will,in fact,be spending it on “medical” marijuana and having their man buns trimmed.
