Gov. Ron DeSantis may believe Tuesday night’s re-election was a “win for the ages,” but former President Donald Trump isn’t sold.
Trump took to Truth Social to diminish DeSantis’ accomplishment Wednesday.
“Now that the Election in Florida is over, and everything went quite well, shouldn’t it be said that in 2020, I got 1.1 Million more votes in Florida than Ron D got this year, 5.7 Million to 4.6 Million? Just asking?”

Trump failed to mention how DeSantis had over 3.1 million votes tabulated against DeSantis. The Democrats’ best hope for being unified and motivating their people to vote in 2024 is for Trump to be on the ballot.

It’s what he always does - they set up a trap and he jumps in head first.
They want to destroy DeSantis and will use Trump as a pawn to do so. They know exactly what they are doing and Trump is falling for it.
Trump is acting very jealous and envious because of the way the media is acting - he lets things get under his skin. Comparing total votes in an off year election is also beyond absurd. DeSantis got nearly 60% of the vote. That’s the story. DeSantis convinced many more people to vote for him by convincing them his way of doing things was right on substance. DeSantis fights back just as hard and doesn’t let it get under his skin. His military / JAG officer background probably helps with that, I’m sure.

TRUMP is just a big Dog. He is not ideologically pure, but what we need now is not a perfect return to the values that made us strong, but first a slam down and beatdown of all the pernicious ideas that have been eating away our core.
And Trump is good because he is a fighter, and he will use wile, guile, ridicule and yes, strong-arming to smash anyone who wants to weaken us. Both internally and externally.

Part of being Presidential is to think before you say things, and "I like people that weren't captured, OK?" goes beyond, beyond "OK".
His verbal swipe at DeSantis will likely ire more undecideds than convince to favor Trump.
In the 2020 primaries, Trump had the tailwinds of a fairly successful presidency and the fact that the incumbent is the de facto nom.
This time? He, and everyone running (and it'll be a large group of moderates, RINOs, and Trump and DeSantis) will need to convince GOP voters that he is the best choice. In some ways, it's his to lose, as many Trump voters have a strong attachment (not a bad thing). In other ways, and paraphrasing the never-Trump WSJ, Trump continues to be his own worst enemy. Voters, like me, who believe that competition between the two front runners will reveal the better nominee, observe that Trump might be blowing it early.
well, Biden got more votes than Crist. Trump has a huge naïve streak, he is taking the bait of divide and conquer.
Trump is self destructing. He needs to stop talking about 2020, people are hurting with inflation all over the country.
Talk solutions and policy, send $5 million to Herschel so we win the Senate, and declare a truce until the Run Off is over.
Maintain the Trump the Fighter, but against that radical hippie Warnock and Moron Biden.

My friends ‘like Trump but they want someone who gets along with everyone, as ya polite, someone the media likes, but can take power.
They want a democrat or a democrat who calls himself a Republican- a RINO, or their husbands who might be nice and also protective but are not slaying dragons -ie the devil- in DC
This fight is getting tougher. Dems will never give up RINOs are worse. It is not for the faint of heart

On the other hand Trump took Florida by 3.5 points while DeSantis took Florida by 19.4 points.
