"Republican primary voters in the 2024 election may well still pick Trump to lead their party in 2024,” said Jennifer Mercieca, a professor at Texas A&M University and expert on political communication. “Trump will continue to attack the [party] leadership and wield his followers like a cudgel. I suspect that he’ll run and get the nomination and lose again in 2024. And I believe that the Republican Party is stuck with that outcome.”

the msm are trying to start a fight between trump and desantis and all their supporters too-
I think Trump’s support is still stronger than DeSantis’ support.
But the Left is trying to use this moment to kill Trump’s political career.
Then (they hope) DeSantis will be the only strong Republican left on the national stage.
Then the Left will kill DeSantis.
But, for now, “everyone” is in awe of the all-powerful DeSantis.
You think he’s gonna bail on Florida and split the party by running in 24?... instead of waiting til his term ends then running without a split?
“Thoughts”
Indeed.
The Left’s ongoing ‘Divide and Conquer Strategy’ working superbly and as intended.
Bullshit. Another Night of the Long Knives article.
One reason we talk about football year round in Alabama is because not only is football our favorite sport, but also because the local sport media has to try to keep themselves relevant during the offseason. It's the same with the MSM having made every news topic political, they therefore have the make the political season not have an offseason.
Bingo!
No, it doesn’t.
Only in the mind of the media.
Trump and DeSantis could put a halt to this nonsense with one phone call or meeting
Another Liberal hag with an opinion. Nothing new.
The media is intent on spreading anti-GOP misinformation. Attacking Trump has long been their bread and butter disinformation project.
I like DeSantis.
But I think for 2024, if you want to get the WWC out in large numbers you need Trump at the top of the ticket.
I’d rather see DeSantis at the state level, since state power vis-a-vis FedGov is only going to grow via decentralisation, and we need competent leaders to wield power at that level.
Yeah.
Ron is 44. Six years from now he’ll be 50-ish. More then enough time to wait a bit.
He and Trump should run together. Who cares if they’re from the same state.
But Trump needs to be restored to the Preidency he had stolen from him. And the nation - almost dead now - needs the fighter who can kill the rot that oozed over usi in November 2020.
Well, I don’t think you can ever assume in politics. DeSantis is incredibly well liked in FL and by all accounts has done a great job.
The Dems (Biden, or whoever) are weak right now. Even if Trump were to run and win, it gets us 4 years. And likely, with a weak VP. Even if there isn’t a “Weak” VP, what VP recently has gone on to win a nomination or be elected?
So...doesn’t it make sense for DeSantis to run now - at a time where he can serve 8 years to Trump’s 4 and then potentially have a favorable VP to take the lead?
Losses like Oz...The Dems had 500,000 more registered voters. Fetterman won by 200,000 votes. These Dems simply kissed Biden's booty.
+1
This is the GOPe and their move to ruin Trump politically. They know what happens in 24 when he is reelected. So they have made their move starting with the midterms and how certain candidates were funded.
Long story short, We are going to see an avalanche of pro DeSantis anti Trump media propaganda and those behind it are bush Clinton Romney McConnell obama. Its destroy trump or face their own demise.
I haven’t thought about it too much, but it seems to me at first glance the left has way more bullets to fire at Trump than they do DeSantis.
Starting with the two impeachments that the media will bombard the airwaves with.....
