Conservative Latinos blast suggestion Spanish language 'disinformation' helped DeSantis win: 'Trusty trope'

Conservative Latinos blasted Jen Psaki for referencing Spanish language "disinformation" just ahead of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis,' R., re-election victory Tuesday night.

A majority of Latino voters supported DeSantis in his resounding win over Democrat Charlie Crist. The Republican won 55% of the Puerto Rican vote, and 50% of all the other Latino voters in the state of Florida, according to NBC. He notably won the historically blue Miami-Dade County, which marked the first time in 20 years that the county chose a Republican for governor.

Psaki, the former White House press secretary turned MSNBC pundit, cautioned her Twitter followers to keep in mind that the "Latino vote is not the same everywhere" shortly before DeSantis and fellow Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio easily won their races.

"The Latino vote is not the same everywhere! There are huge generational differences and in Florida population of older voters (more likely Rs) much larger than younger. Socialism does not play there. And there is a massive disinformation problem in Spanish language media," Psaki tweeted.

First, the assume we're for mass unfettered immigration. Wrong.

Then they think all 'Latinos' think and vote alike. They think we are all Mexicans.

And then, even within the same group, like Puerto Ricans, they swear that new 'migrants' from PR must be like NY or Chicago Puerto Ricans.

Then they attack our beautiful, gendered mother tongue, Castillian, and try to force a non-word label like 'Latinx' on us.

Then they are for destroying fatherhood and killing babies, and think we will follow right along.

And then they started confusing children and mutilating them.

And now, they believe that we cannot discern by ourselves what's right and what's wrong, and that we do not read, write or "spik" English, so someone is feeding us misinfo in Spanish.

They think they are so smart and have it all figured out. They just prove themselves to be what they are: idiots with power.

This is America. We speak English. We call ourselves Americans not Latinos.

You could go home where they speak Spanish.

Democrats believe they "own" all minorities.
If you don't vote Dem, you're not Black/Hispanic/Woman/LGBTQ etc.

I am Puerto Rican and that makes me an American. Just like Texans, etc.

Then, the United States is the largest Spanish-speaking country in the world. Nothing wrong with being bilingual.

But yes, we should all, in addition to the above, assimilate into a culture of freedom in a common English language.

And I should have said, I don’t know of one ‘Latino’ that cares for that label. It tries to make us all the same. We are not.

Again, I am not ‘Latino’. I am Puerto Rican and that makes me an American.

Look at the demographics.

Latina women are going to be more and more prominent in our politics. That is a demographic fact.

They are natural conservatives, as mothers, family oriented, and working people.

The majority of white women in America are a genetic dead-end. Hate to sound crude, but that's a fact.

“”There are huge generational differences and in Florida population of older voters (more likely Rs) much larger than younger.””

Whether English or Spanish, she could use some lessons in just plain speaking!!!

Hispanics were natural Democrats if we are talking about the old Democratic Party with its bias toward centralized power. But the more recent progressive DNC is an abomination and they are starting to bleed Hispanics just as they have been bleeding Christians in general. If you are a Christian or even have a traditional moral outlook there is no place for you in the current DNC, and they frankly don’t want you. They want your vote, maybe, but they definitely don’t want you.

There is a definite shift among Hispanics toward the GOP and both are starting to wake up to each other. It’s by no means a majority, but in a country split fifty-fifty losing even 10% of the Hispanic vote is death to DNC. The only thing worse is losing 10% of the black vote.

GOP insiders may want to run away from social and moral issues but it would be a mistake. It’s at the heart of who we are. Our coalition is built around personal freedom rooted in a Christian moral foundation and we should never pretend otherwise.

I am a Floridian.

I used to be a New Yorker.

I was born in Puerto Rico, which I guess makes me a Puerto Rican too.

Above all of that...

I am an American.

So, what the heck is wrong with identifying as a person from wherever he/she lives or originated from.

In the U.S., we have parades that celebrate where people came from and where their parents/grandparents/ancestors came from.

We have Irish parades, Puerto Rican parades, Cuban and Italian parades.

Stop being so insecure. Harmless labels are not going to undo the country or what it stands for.

If you need to be angry about something, it’s the democrats who are trying to destroy the country and the American identity. America is the melting pot of the world, and what makes America great is that it can tolerate all the labels and absorb them all, and still continue to be the greatest country that ever existed.

Entiende? ;)

I call myself a Floridian. I suppose that makes me unAmerican in your eyes. People often refer to their family’s or their own country of origin. It does not mean they do not consider themselves American.
