This is America. We speak English. We call ourselves Americans not Latinos.
You could go home where they speak Spanish.
I am Puerto Rican and that makes me an American. Just like Texans, etc.
Then, the United States is the largest Spanish-speaking country in the world. Nothing wrong with being bilingual.
But yes, we should all, in addition to the above, assimilate into a culture of freedom in a common English language.
And I should have said, I don’t know of one ‘Latino’ that cares for that label. It tries to make us all the same. We are not.
Again, I am not ‘Latino’. I am Puerto Rican and that makes me an American.
Latina women are going to be more and more prominent in our politics. That is a demographic fact.
They are natural conservatives, as mothers, family oriented, and working people.
The majority of white women in America are a genetic dead-end. Hate to sound crude, but that's a fact.
I am a Floridian.
I used to be a New Yorker.
I was born in Puerto Rico, which I guess makes me a Puerto Rican too.
Above all of that...
I am an American.
So, what the heck is wrong with identifying as a person from wherever he/she lives or originated from.
In the U.S., we have parades that celebrate where people came from and where their parents/grandparents/ancestors came from.
We have Irish parades, Puerto Rican parades, Cuban and Italian parades.
Stop being so insecure. Harmless labels are not going to undo the country or what it stands for.
If you need to be angry about something, it’s the democrats who are trying to destroy the country and the American identity. America is the melting pot of the world, and what makes America great is that it can tolerate all the labels and absorb them all, and still continue to be the greatest country that ever existed.
Entiende? ;)
He or she is home.
