I do, but there’s nothing wrong with looking for improvement. Isn’t that what a team does. You could have a great QB, but if a better one comes along do you not play him?

I think he only announced that he would be making an announcement. People hear what they want to hear, or they hear what they fear, instead of hearing what was said.
I agree with that. No republicans receive a free pass from the press when the nominee is definite. I actually believe abortion hurt us this time. I know some disagree, but when the dust settles, that will be clear.

No, and that is one reason why I would want to see him serve out his second term as governor. Also, that will give him time to assemble an even stronger team that he can take with him to DC.
That was in my opinion the big difference between Reagan and Trump. Reagan, despite being called an outsider, had served as governor in CA and had a team ready to descend on Washington once he was elected. Trump on the other hand was a real outsider, and whereas he had contacts in the economic (and trade) sphere, who served him excellently during his tenure, he did not have a team ready to handle for instance the DOJ. That hurt him, the GOP, and the US. Think for instance if Rudy Giuliani had been eight years younger, and had accepted to serve as Attorney General. He would have chewed up HRC and her fake dossier in a few months. What a difference that would have made.

No one stops to think how much worse Tuesday would have been if Trump hadn’t poured his heart, soul and treasure into the midterms.
Unfortunately Trump will keep attacking/threatening DeSantis and others. Why is the big question.
Had that very discussion with friends. I don’t think anyone is as tough as Trump. But Trump is his own worst enemy.
All the DeSantis cheerleaders should ask these questions:
1. Does Ron Desantis need wealthy donors to finance a run for president?
2. Will these donors finance him out of the kindness of their hearts without expecting anything in return for their massive investment?
3. Will Desantis serve four years as President without taking a salary as President?
Trump made it clear from the start he cannot be bought.
That is what made him dangerous to the wealthy and a big key in appealing to average Americans.
