Axelrod: Biden Should Avoid ‘Triumphalism’ — ‘This Wasn’t’ Really ‘an Affirmation of Policies’
Breitbart ^ | 11/09/2022 | IAN HANCHETT

Posted on 11/09/2022 2:07:48 PM PST by ChicagoConservative27

During CNN’s election coverage on Wednesday, CNN Senior Political Commentator and former Obama adviser David Axelrod said that the message of the results in the 2022 midterm elections “wasn’t an affirmation of policies so much” as a rebuke of extremism and that he would advise President Joe Biden against being triumphant in addressing the results.

Axelrod said, “Look, what I would advise would be to understand what the message was yesterday. I think it was a repudiation of extremism in all its forms. And I think he should note that and understand this wasn’t an affirmation of policies so much as that, and recognize that people are still struggling with inflation and other challenges and our job is to work together to try and solve them.”

Axel rod is dangerous. He’s very intelligent and good at what he does. If we are lucky, the left will ignore him.

And oh by the way, Kari Lake now trails by .2% with 27% of the votes still left to count.

My reading of this is that it was largely a structural issue, that is going to be a problem going forward.

The projections of many GOP victories seemed to be based upon the election-day results. A GOP candidate pulls ahead a bit at the end, and analysts seemed to forget about the huge backlog of early votes submitted while the Dem candidate was well ahead. This is made worse, with the ballot harvesting and GOTV to get people who are aligned with them idly to submit their ballots well before the meat of the campaign, an era where the media influence is dominant.

For the projection to work, the analysts would need to weight all of that over time, which it does not appear that they even attempted - even if they had developed methodology to do so.

Could Oz have really been +3 on election day and still lost even without election manipulation? Yes, when the voting went on for almost 6 weeks before the debate where people got to actually directly see Fetterman directly.

It’s not Biden alone, but, all democrats, who will double-down on getting their agenda passed and/or implemented.

They’ve got 2 years to implement their radical agenda with (they hope) no obstacles or minor obstacles along the way (like a republican congress).

To democrats, the coming 2024 election is a crisis, and they need to get their things done before they get blocked.

Radicals will not let their opportunity go by (or bye), so, it will be another 2 years or radicals doing unto the country before they get sent packing.

Axelrod doesn’t give a flip about the victory lap. He’s worried that it’s going to entice Biden into running again and losing them the WH. They want Newsom or Klobo, which would be a tougher matchup for us than an 82 year old failed president who’s already lost his marbles.

Mastreano dragged Oz to defeat. Oz outran him by 5.5 pts.

It’s been posted here elsewhere, but it’s about ballots and not votes. The democrats didn’t focus on winning votes. They focused on distribution and collecting ballots. Sounds trivial, but the article i read explained the difference rather well.

The GOP has always relied on motivated in person voters. While still very important, the GOP is behind in ballot distribution and collection operations.

The FBI will do the investigation. Is this the same FBI that investigated the Trump/Russia collusion affair?

Biden is NOT irrelevant. He is destroying our country with impunity and can continue to do so until 2024.

Shapiro outspent Mastriano 10 to 1 (90% funding from out of state). Doug barely had $2 million for the entire campaign.
