Agreed. We don’t know how DeSantis will do in a national election. We also know Trump hate is real. I would be happy to vote for either one, but I don’t see how Trump can overcome his negatives to win the presidency again. He would have to act more presidential and build a majority coalition, but there’s no evidence that he’s capable of that. I have repeatedly defended the man. “Ignore what he says and focus on what he does,” I say. Well, most Americans will not or cannot look past Trump and his ego.
Failure to understand what you’re saying about the media doing the same to DeSantis as they’re doing to Trump is the fatal error.
You would think people would have learned from 2008 when media darling McCain was savaged by the same media who regularly gushed over him as a maverick and then went right back to the gushing after he was safely back in the Senate doing his usual pissing into the Republican tent with his various “Gang of” betrayals and, of course, his ultimate betrayal voting against repealing Obamacare. But no, they’re too dimwitted to understand that.
