Huge DeSantis win shows presidential punch
Axios ^ | November 9, 2022 | Zachary Basu

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' resounding victory over Democrat Charlie Crist — fueled by the strongest GOP showing in Miami-Dade County in two decades — has cemented his position as a 2024 presidential contender.

Why it matters: The big, broad win is a massive show of force against former President Trump, whose blessing propelled DeSantis to office. DeSantis is the first GOP governor to win Miami-Dade County, a Democratic stronghold, since Jeb Bush's re-election in 2002. He did so by double digits.

"Never seen a race that big in my history of working in Florida politics. That's an absolute bloodbath," a Florida-based Democratic consultant told Axios' Alexi McCammond.

(snip)

The big picture: DeSantis' 2024 stock has steadily risen over the past year, even as Trump has grown more serious about his presidential plans — now believed to be imminent — to declare a formal comeback bid.

DeSantis' campaign and aligned political committee raised an astonishing $200 million for his re-election, with $90 million left burning a hole in the bank as the term-limited governor contemplates his next move. GOP megadonor Ken Griffin told Politico this week he would back DeSantis in 2024, saying "it's time to move on to the next generation."

Sod off.

The problems are

a) Dem cheating
b) GOP acquiescence to cheating and going along on policy
c) stabbing Trump & conservatives in the back repeatedly over the past 5 years

Just as Donald Trump was set up by the communist leaders to try and defeat him before he came down that escalator, DeSantis is also being set up for defeat should he run for higher office. The globalist US traitors will still be embedded in our govt and DeSantis will be dealing with the career govt employees who carry out whatever the commie globalists want. Blue states will remain blue and democrats will still vote for the likes of brain and physically impaired Biden and Fetterman. Owning the power of a senate or congressional seat is all that is important and commies do not care about the health or mentality of their candidates. DeSantis success in Fla will not necessarily transfer to governing all 50 states.

” Trump did not sufficiently fund his own endorsed candidates. McConnell funded Trump’s senate candidates with 10x the money Trump spent, despite Trump’s PAC having raised more than McConnell’s Senate Leadership Fund. So, do not blame McConnel.

(Snip)

DeSantis turned Florida more red than ever by actually governing as a conservative, taking actions to ensure integrity and leading the nation during the pandemic.

Trump needs to retire his ego and enjoy his billions and Melania.

I fear Trump will not. He is the jilted lover who wants revenge. If Trump gets the nomination, he loses in 2024. If Trump loses the nomination, he will undermine our nominee causing us to lose 2024.”

I Fear You are right.

I recall A lot of people werre...concerned about Oz as a candidate.

No, its NeverCakewalkDems, not NeverTrumper.

BTW, Trump’s pre-COVID and COVID eras of being President were both full of deficit spending. That’s not what a pro-Constitution Conservative would’ve done. That kind of baggage is too much on top of Trump’s other baggage. He should’ve used the veto pen. Instead, he piled up his own baggage.

The United States of America is where we have about 9.3 trillion per year total of wages, over 31 trillion national debt, and the terminal rate for US Treasuries headed over 6% per year soon. That’ll be over 20% of all wages going to just pay interest on the National Debt.

Now that’s not all Trump’s fault. I can think of many others who played a huge role in this disaster. Pelosi, Ryan, Boehner, Hastert, Gingrich, Foley, Wright, O’Neil, Albert, Schumer, McConnell, Reid, Frist, Lott, Daschle, Dole, Mitchell, Byrd, Mansfield, Biden, Obama, Dubya & his dad, Clinton, Reagan, Carter, Ford, and Nixon are some other names that come to mind on this. And you can go back a few more decades to the Eisenhower years to find one where the total National Debt actually went down from one fiscal year to the next.

Dick Cheney once said “deficits don’t matter”. But now that the sovereign debt bubble is bursting the truth is that deficits are going to be the only thing that matters. It’s turning America into a land full of Wage Slaves. On top of the Interest on the Debt that’ll soon cost 2 trillion per year there’s this issue with the costs of certain government agencies and their own issues. For example, in HHS there’s an agency called CMS which brings in about 400 billion of revenue per year and then spends over 2 trillion per year. That’s a shortfall of over 1.6 trillion dollars or around 15% of all wages per year for just 1 government agency. For all practical purposes - the 13th Amendment is getting tossed into the fire :(

Huge DeSantis win shows what can happen when you get rid of mass mail ballots, ballot harvesting and require IDs.

That’s what happens when you eradicate vote fraud and have fair and honest elections.

Exactly right. That's the lesson here.

As the old saying goes...That was Then...This is Now.

For The Recod I am about a 70% Trump Fan (70% is about as good as it gets. That said Let’s not pretend Donald Trumps 2024 campaign did not take a Hit last night.

It goes without saying Whoever wins the nomination (Trump, DeSantis, Cruz, Whoever) WILL be Hitler to the Democrats/Corporate Media (but I repeat myself), But Trump Will energize to a greater degree than in 2020

From Power Line
https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2022/11/it-could-have-been-worse.php

* Donald Trump. I thought the Democrats’ endless yammering about “our democracy” and “fascism” was incredibly stupid, born of desperation, and would be ignored by voters. I was partly right: those themes were stupid, and they were born of desperation. But it turned out that they were not ineffective. To cite just one example, a young woman I know posted a photo of herself at the polls on Instagram, with the text, “I’m voting against fascism.”

(Snip)

An off-year election is normally a referendum on the president, which is why the out-party nearly always gains. When the Democrats tried to make this year’s election a referendum on Donald Trump, I thought they were crazy. Trump is not an office-holder, nor was he on the ballot. How could that possibly work? Well, it did work, and Trump, with his inimitable bad judgment, collaborated fully with the Democrats in putting himself front and center, with disastrous results.

The major exception to last night’s gloom was Florida, where Ron DeSantis and Marco Rubio both won crushing victories. Why was that? At least part of the explanation is that Florida was one state where the Democrats couldn’t pretend Trump was on the ballot. Ron DeSantis was on the ballot.

Without Trump, there’s no reason to vote Republican anymore. This was my last rodeo with them.

I’ve reached the conclusion that perhaps the best way forward is to start infiltrating the Democratic Party, since we have, for all intents and purposes One-Party Rule anyway.
