Voters in Mercer County, New Jersey, may face a longer-than-expected wait to cast their ballots on Election Day after an "issue" with voting machines caused a "county-wide system outage" that local government officials said resulted in "all voting machines" going down.
A notice released by West Windsor officials explained the issue:
WEST WINDSOR RESIDENTS: DUE TO A MERCER COUNTY-WIDE SYSTEM OUTAGE, ALL VOTING MACHINES ARE CURRENTLY DOWN IN EACH DISTRICT ACROSS THE COUNTY. VOTERS CAN STILL REPORT TO THEIR RESPECTIVE POLLING LOCATIONS AND VOTE ON A STANDARD BALLOT AND INSERT THEIR BALLOT INTO THE EMERGENCY SLOT IN THE MACHINE.
Meanwhile, Mercer County county posted on its Facebook page acknowledging the "issues with voting machines."
Despite the outage affecting the county that includes the state capital of Trenton, officials say that voters will still be allowed to cast a paper "standard ballot" and poll workers "will be on hand to walk voters through the process" that reportedly includes inserting "their ballot into the emergency slot in the machine."
The county also shared its board of elections "is working with Dominion, the machine maker, to resolve the issue."
As Townhall reported earlier on Election Day, there have also been issues with voting at dozens of polling places in Maricopa County, Arizona, where ballots are being "misread" by tabulators. And as Katie noted, last-minute changes in Pennsylvania are already delaying vote counting in the Keystone State.

Voting machines failing all over the country!
How are they failing? Failure to manufacture enough Democrat votes.

This just part of the steal. It allows all kinds of “Technical” people of jigger the machines. And I Imagine that those emergency ballots will be counted via a special process. If they are hand counted then they will be counted just like the ballots that are kicked out by the machine.

HOW CAN YOU HAVE
“county-wide system outage”
IF NONE OF THESE MACHINES ARE CONNECTED??
To: SeekAndFind
If these machines are not interconnected via internet, why did they all fail at all polling stations? Where they all programed wrong? Where they not tested prior to election day? What the hell is going on?

Some machines not working at all
Some machines not accepting ballots
Some machines running out of paper
In all cases, they want you to fill out a ballot, stick it in a box and they’ll count them later in a central location. 2020 redux

I don't understand why technology improvements aren't making the casting and tabulating of ballots faster and more secure. There is no excuse for elections that take days to count.
How come credit card companies like Visa, MasterCard, and American Express can process a combined 100 million transactions a day, but our states can't process a few thousands of ballots? Something has to change.
Why can't we combine the best technologies to make a seamless voting system that can count the votes instantaneously?
I suggest that the following technologies be used to make a more secure voting procedure:
- Use rewritable credit cards to record each person's vote.
- Hotels can program cards like this to open selected room doors right at the front desk. Why can't ballots be recorded on the chip or magnetic strip in the same way?
- When a voter checks in at the front desk, give them a credit card/room key type ballot that they insert into a voting machine.
- The registrar will have the voter sign the voting roll.
- A credit card/room key will be programmed to that voter (instead of handing them a paper with their voter code) and handed to the voter.
- The voter goes to a voting booth/machine and inserts the card into the voting machine. The ballot for that voter will then appear on the screen.
- The voter makes his choices and presses "submit vote." The machine records the vote onto the card and the voter retrieves the card.
- The voter walks over to a tabulating machine. This machine can be similar to credit card point-of-sale registers that we see all across the world. The voter inserts his card into the machine.
- The machine reads the card and displays the ballot on the screen. The voter is prompted to confirm the ballot.
- The machine then counts the vote and sends the transaction to the main transaction server, just like with credit card transactions.
- The machine keeps the card for reuse just like how ATMs keep cards that are deemed to be stolen or fraudulent.
- The card is wiped after the vote is transmitted and an acknowledgement is received.
- Periodically throughout the day, an election worker will retrieve the wiped cards from the tabulation machine and bring them back up to the front desk for resuse.
Why can't a voting procedure like this work? Why can our credit card and hotel companies process billions of transactions this way, but we can't leverage that technology to improve the voting booth?

Election Fraud, it’s not just something the media denies, it’s something the Democrats excel in.

I just voted in Bergen County, NJ. No lines, no malfunctions. We use those same old machines I remember from my grammar school days - our school was a voting place.

"is Mercer County Republican or rat?"
It's New Jersey, which is almost entirely rat, and Mercer certainly is.
In 2020, Mercer County NJ went for Creepy Joe 122,532, to 51,641 for Trump.
So, issues with machines there are unlikely to make much difference.
