JD Vance, the Trump-endorsed GOP nominee for U.S. Senate in Ohio, has taken a commanding lead in the polls heading into Election Day. Just hours before President Trump will arrive in Vandalia, Ohio, for a special Election Eve Save America rally, the latest polls have Vance up by a wide margin.
A new Nov. 4 poll from Trafalgar, for example, has Vance up by a whopping 10 points over his Democrat opponent, Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio. A more recent Trafalgar poll projected Vance will take the Senate seat at 54 percent to Ryan’s 44 percent.
JD Vance is perhaps best known for being the author of “Hillbilly Elegy.” President Trump endorsed him in April. In his endorsement, Trump said that Vance was “the best chance for victory” and further informed Ohioans that Vance’s past critical stance on Trump himself was something he had moved past.
Per RSBN, Trump told an eager crowd of Ohio rallygoers in April, “He’s a guy that said some bad sh*t about me…he did. But you know what? Every one of the others did also… Ultimately, I put that aside…We have to pick somebody that can win.”
Vance even garnered the support of wildly popular Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) heading into the midterms. DeSantis stated on Twitter, “For too long, the D.C. machine has served special interests at the expense of the American people. @JDVance1 is running to change this. Ohioans need him in the U.S. Senate to represent their values and fight the corrupt policies destroying our nation. Proud to stand with him!”
It looks like President Trump was right on the money with his endorsement of Vance. The Senate hopeful has continually climbed upward through the polls, moving into a dominant position on Election Eve.
After Vance wins, it’s time to move onto getting another MAGA candidate to replace Sherrod Brown.
