Footage showed thousands of Russian conscripts shouting at Major-General Kirill Kulakov at a training base in Kazan, a city in Russia, with some yelling 'let's go home'.
Russian marines have said their 'incompetent' generals are treating them as 'cannon fodder' after their unit suffered devastating losses, with 300 men reportedly killed or wounded in four days of heavy fighting in eastern Ukraine.
Marines from Russia's 155th Naval Infantry Brigade wrote a scathing letter to their regional governor, claiming they had lost 300 servicemen in a four-day massacre in Pavlivka thanks to the catastrophic planning of Generals Rustam Muradov and Zurab Akhmedov.
The soldiers claimed Russian commanders were 'hiding' the mayhem in the Donetsk region and 'playing down the number of losses for fear of being held responsible'.
The marines demanded in their letter that Vladimir Putin is personally told of the alleged massacre and that he will set up an independent military commission.
The letter comes as footage appeared to show thousands of mobilised Russian soldiers staging an extraordinary mutiny against their general for sending them to the front line with a lack of supplies and equipment.
Major-General Kirill Kulakov, 53, faced chants of 'get out of here', 'shame on you', and 'down with Putin's regime' as thousands of mobilised men joined a protest at their training base in the city of Kazan, southwest Russia, on the night before they were due to be sent to the front line.
Soldiers who led the mutiny told superiors they could not fight because they had endured weeks of water shortages and scarce rations - and now they were going to be sent into battle with 'rusty machine guns from the 1970s'.

There are also rumors from Ukraine that Sullivan has pressed Zelensky to launch a Kherson campaign as soon as possible. Zelensky is said to have agreed to do so.
But the Ukrainian army does not want to do that - at least not now. The Russian troops in the area have been reinforced. The fields are muddy and can not be crossed by heavy vehicles. Russian artillery attacks destroy equipment pre-positioned for the attack before it is ready to come near the front line.
The Ukrainian military has for weeks tried probing attacks in the Kherson region. These had no significant results while the attacking units had high losses. The units deployed around the region have been there since early October or longer. The Military Land deployment map shows only one unit that arrived just five days ago. The 98th Azov battalion, one of the fascist volunteer forces, has been positioned in the back of 128th Mountain Assault Brigade which, in recent weeks, has had some of the most serious losses.
The use of such 'nationalist' forces to prevent the retreat of exhausted front line units has been a regular occurrence in this war.
Ukraine has for weeks had no success on the battle field. Washington wants it to show such a success so that it can tell its allies that the war can be won by the Ukrainian side. The push for an attack on Kherson is again part of the overall campaign to convince Europeans that they should sustain the efforts to arm and support Ukraine.
The campaign is misleading. Ukraine is losing the war badly. But the U.S. wants to fight Russia down to the last Ukrainian - and down to the last Euro.
Yes and the Governor initiated action with the military, and it has been proven that some of the allegations (300 dead and injured) are physically impossible given unit strength, more likely total losses 100, with 30 being KIA and 70 wounded, Which would be 1/3 of unit if it was at full strength which likely was not,
and that the settlement of Pavlovka simply not large enough to encompass battle of this magnitude…a battle still going on,
So a very emotional message understandably, with inflation of battle casualties as news passes from source to source, unit to unit.
I know some people prefer 300 dead Russians to gloat about.
Which the Ukrainians have not done.
Strange they would not widely publicize a battle victory like this,
If it occurred,
I prefer analytical facts about both sides,
Understood, Sir. /salute
Keep reading.
More bloggers and field analysts are coming in with better info
BTW…no Ukrainian bloggers or govt sources have claimed this occurred, and usually if they kill Russians in number the Kiev propo machine erupts in full slava ukraini jubilation
Obvious Ukraine propaganda - using poorly paid extras in costumes from some used clothing store; why they needed 3 lenses to film most of it. At night which is a dead giveaway so the stage cannot be located. Sheesh.
Numbers, I have no clue about, especially around Pavlovka.
Don’t keep up with numbers per se though I do catalogue/bookmark those items when it comes to a whole or overall losses, etc.
There is no doubt that each side around Pavlovka have taken significant numbers of losses.
The Ukrainians have massed artillery on a hill over looking the place while the Russians are massing counter-artillery....and any time you have massed artillery, you will have significant casualties.
I don’t see this lasting for long though.
Rain and mud is hampering operations.
And the temperatures are steady dropping with perma-freeze conditions not far away.
UK Daily Propaganda.
Welcome to the glorious Red army comrades.
“War is just a way for leaders of a country to murder their own people and get away with it.”
And enrich the Biden clan
what I see is that the lines have not changed significantly in the last month or so. the russians have not gained ground. nor have the ukes.
Jake Sullivan, the hero of the “orderly Kabul withdrawal”.
Talk about incompetence.
That hasn't stopped the Russians from degrading Ukraine's electric grid.
You guys are just now figuring that out?? That’s all you’ve ever been to the Kremlin.
Obviously faked.
Probably the same people that produced the fake videos of Apollo moon landings.
The Russians have damaged enough of the Ukrainian power grid to be a serious problem.
Therefor, these reports showing the crappy running of Putin’s special operation must be false.
agree. but the other side is that the rains have not stopped the ukes from degrading the russian lines—plus the russians have helped by throwing away their extra men.
The dirty RuZZians have mutinied right into liberating the town.
Maybe the RuZZian mutineers will mutiny over to Ugledar next...
Has the Daily Mail gotten anything right about this war? The Babylon Bee is far more accurate.
Pffft, according to pro-Ukraine maps maybe.....
Now they've moved on to Kherson city, and the loss of Pavlovka will go into the Western Media's memory hole...
