Rich countries must sign a pact with poor countries on the climate or "we will be doomed" - that's the warning from UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres.
Speaking ahead of the COP27 climate summit in Egypt, Mr Guterres said wealthier countries must help emerging economies to speed up their transition to renewable energy.
"COP27 must be the place to close the ambition gap, the credibility gap and the solidarity gap," he said.
"It must put us back on track to cutting emissions, boosting climate resilience and adaptation, keeping the promise on climate finance and address loss and damage from climate change."
Rich countries have emitted more than their share of heat-trapping carbon dioxide by burning of coal, oil and natural gas.
After last year's COP26 in Glasgow, the UN Environment Programme estimated that developing countries needed $70bn a year for adaptation - a figure expected to double by 2030.

How bought this. The poor nations get to foot the bill for all of the polluting and destruction of the climate they’re doing. Sounds like a good deal to me.

2. Declare every event a symptom of the crisis.
3. Get “experts” to declare the crisis is getting worse and will doom the world.
4. Extort money from the people in the name of fighting the invisible crisis.

Climate change says "reduce" all the while "send money." Covid-justified lockdowns forced economic reduction, and all the while the few continued on with "send money." The non-NATO Ukraine-Russia conflict centers in large part on "send money." The UN and NATO "peacekeeping" in areas of Africa and elsewhere all come to "send money." The reparations game worldwide comes down to "send money." Our own idiot Democrats and RINOs regularly call for more money! There seems to be a pattern here....

How will giving money to poor countries lower carbon emissions? Here is a better idea. Clean up your polluted rivers for a start, get clean drinking water to your citizenry, be innovative in technology and share that instead of paying some third world tin pot dictator money to look the other way.
I have spent a lot of time in the Philippines. “Climate money” sent there will disappear like mist in the desert.
KICK the UN completely OUT of the USA.
