Ukraine, with each passing day, reminds me of a crack addict who is dependent on his local drug slinger to feed his habit, which is slowly killing him. Ukraine no longer has the ability to produce its own weapons, conduct mass troop training on its own territory, keep electricity flowing to the major cities and maintain a viable economy.
The true horror of what Ukraine is experiencing can be seen in the following brief video (at link)
Along with the growing mountain of corpses, the lines of communication with front line troops is straining to keep soldiers supplied with food and ammunition. I cannot vouch that the following video (at link) is an accurate translation (and will happily stand corrected if there are any Ukrainian speakers reading this blog), but it clearly indicates there are some food issues.
Beyond shortages of food, the United States and NATO are not able to supply the weapons they have promised to send to Ukraine. Joe Biden, in a rare moment of clarity in California, admitted that a chip shortage is preventing his Administration from delivering promised shipments of Javelin missiles to Ukraine:“Earlier this year, I was at the Lockheed Martin plant in Alabama, where they make Javelin missiles.
Guess what?
We had problems with the supply of Javelin missiles to Ukraine, because … they did not have computer chips, ”TASS reports him.
Biden stressed that the active production of semiconductors is a matter of national security.
On October 27, it became known that in the near future Kyiv may face a shortage of American weapons.

Wait! There is more unwelcome news. Not only is Ukraine’s military short on beans and bullets (and begging insistently for more cowbell), its communications system is not functioning.
Ukraine’s fears that its troops may lose access to Elon Musk’s crucial Starlink internet service deepened in the past week after 1,300 of the military’s satellite units went offline, according to two sources familiar with the outage.
The small, easy-to-use satellite dishes made by Musk’s private rocket company SpaceX have been universally hailed as a game-changing source of communication for Ukraine’s military, allowing it to fight and stay online even as cellular phone and internet networks have been destroyed in its war with Russia.
But concerns have risen recently over the dependability of SpaceX after discussions about funding were revealed and outages were reported near the frontlines.

If aid from the West is disrupted or cut off then Ukraine will no longer be able to continue to battle the Russians. The United States and the United Kingdom continue to insist stridently that they are reliable allies of Kiev and will keep the aid flowing. But those promises become more hollow with each passing day as domestic political and economic problems mount in Washington and London. The Ukrainians, like the Vietnamese and the Afghanis, are likely to learn in the near future that a Western promise to “have your back” is empty.
It feels like we’re paying a heavy price for Ukraine’s total dependance on the west.
it’s hard to tell which side is winning. both sides of observers claim their side is winning. Without saying which side I am rooting for, I think Russia will ultimately prevail. They are much bigger.
It’s Russia that is killing Ukrainians.
Well is not like an already small country that has recently lost some of its most prime territory and is in the process of being invaded and has lost even more territory by a much bigger country can easily be a beacon of economic self sufficiency.

Lies, all lies.
At some point I imagine the Ukies will wake up and realize they were played as a pawn for US interests, leaving what remains of their country in shambles and not be happy. Well I’m not happy either with $80 billion (and counting) of my tax dollars going over there. All for nothing since Ukraine had no chance of defeating Russia without direct NATO intervention anyway. I can’t believe the idiots who have supported this war.
In large, large numbers too, as I have shown over the past months that you as with your cohorts have continually blown off.
But it still does not change the fact that the US as with the WEST/NATO are using Ukraine as a proxy to fight the Russians.
As RINO and NEOCON Lindsey Graham long indicated: We will continue to supply Ukraine ... to the last Ukrainian man.
What about American adventurism?
And another +1 for Biden family cronyism (in Ukraine)!
Bigger? Than NATO, plus Japan, plus Australia, plus etc.?
This war will be won by the side with the bigger economic and industrial base, with the better logistics, and with the better fighting morale.
Russia (plus Belarus - hah!) - is obviously inferior in all the aforementioned categories.
Russia launched a sneak attack against a peaceful neighboring country, and in spite of the fact that it had the advantage of surprise, has performed pitifully.
Regards,
Ukraine has already amply demonstrated her ability to defeat, push back, or at least contained the Russian aggressor in numerous battles.
Regards,
The Biden-Obama loyal media want us to forget the riches drained from a pre-war and very corrupt Ukraine by the princelings of the Biden, Pelosi, Kerry and Romney families, and likely more whose names are less prominent.
I suspect that there are quite a number of Europeans on that list of profiteers, who also are in a rage over their grift being disrupted, and one should not forget the "Ukraine" Vindmans who had such a role in one of the Trump impeachments.
You are correct to assert that "nothing about this war has been in the interest of our country."
