A woman out for a run in the West Village was raped, choked and robbed Thursday morning by a stranger who left her bleeding on the path before taking off on a Citi Bike after the harrowing attack.
The 43-year-old woman was running around 5:30 a.m. along Pier 45, near West and Christopher streets, when a man grabbed her from behind and choked her until she lost consciousness, police said.
The fiend then knocked her to the ground, took off her clothing and raped her, cops said.

Women in New York City need to wise up. I lived near there for several years, moving away in 2020. There are often a lot of runners during daylight hours. But, by going too early (it would have been very dark at the time she went), she was easy prey.
Never mind. I apparently have fallen for that particular stun-gun myth. Upon further research, it appears that this is untrue.
If they do catch the criminal, he'll be back on the street within hours. Joy and Whoopi have sympathy... for criminals. I'll bet the rapists has a long record and he votes for democrats.

One of the reasons I like using an indoor running track even for walking. Its consistent and has a nice cushion to it and one can listen to tunes without hazard. Is the view a bit monotonous? Sure but I’ll take that over the diverse view of the NYC landscape.

Young women who move to NYC from rural areas are totally unaware of the dangers. They act as if it is still the 1950’s, and everything is a Doris Day romantic comedy.
Very similar to the jogger in Memphis who was killed by some Amish renegade.
