But I note this issue is widespread, not just one store. I feel like this may be more of a harbinger of hyperinflation than anything truly intentional by the cooperate offices. That is not to excuse this, but to highlight things are not as they seem.
deceptive practices by Dollar General stores in Cuyahoga, Franklin, Highland, Lucas, Madison, Richland, Summit and Trumbull counties.
You know the politicians are hard up for work when they have to go after dollar stores.
I’ve seen some other stores that have electronic shelf price tags.
E-Z, P-Z to change prices.
Seems like a problem consumers can fix if they wanted. Have a bad experience at a store? Don’t go back and do business with them.
Read the article. Some of these stores the pricing change is not just a few cents. And several stores over 80% had the wrong prices.
An 88% fail rate is pretty dang bad.
Lol….. trying to pull a fast one hoping no one will notice? I think it will be easy for Dollar General to show increased costs and declining sales. So whats the point? In Ohio there has to be something more important to worry about. Why is a Big Mac meal 10 dollars now? Get on it Ohio.
Like I said I do not think this is intentional, I think it is low staffing, poor staffing, and the company is experiencing the early stages of hyperinflation.
My wife had the same problem at a Tuscaloosa, Al store. Just not going back.
China VAT tax?
How can one punish a bidness by not returning if one has never gone there in the first place?
When checking out and you see the price isn't what you thought, then you question them and if the result isn't to your liking--you decline the purchase. Simple. We're behaving more and more like Venezuela.
I guess small towns would prefer being food deserts to having understaffed stores in times of hyperinflation.
It is not just Dollar General having this problem.
Walmart was just fined for the same issue.

Why is a Big Mac meal 10 dollars now?
Lets Go Brandon! ?
Have you been to Walmart lately? I’m finding the same thing there. Inflation is so bad the workers can’t keep up with the increased prices.
Naaa…don’t go after political and election fraud or those violating oaths to the Constitution. That’s not at all important.
I had on-sale meat in grocery stores come up full price when only a small percentage in a refrigerated bin (Kroger) marked with SALE BOGO sale qualify. All looked the same.
Caveat Emptor.
Silly, logic, commonsense and reason are verboten in the new AmeriKa!
It’s government that’s over charging and misleading.
Why are you going to McDonalds and paying $10 for crap "food" and bad for you?
