Rogan On Upcoming Midterm ‘Red Wave’: ‘Going To Be Like The Elevator Doors Opening Up In The Shining’

Joe Rogan, host of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” said during a recent show that he believes that the upcoming midterm elections are going to be a bloodbath for Democrats.

Rogan made the remarks while speaking to comedian Bridget Phetasy about the culture of fear that exists in America where people don’t feel like they can voice their opinions without facing backlash.

Phetasy said that she believes that a lot of people who buy into the transgender movement do so to “signal” that they’re “part of the high status in-group.”

“Yeah, it’s real strange,” Rogan said. “It’s real strange to just openly accept all this stuff without any pushback.”

“I think there will be pushback, though, again, I think we’re seeing it in Europe,” Phetasy said. “And now it seems like they’re coming to their senses a little bit and following science. I don’t necessarily see that, although we might see it in the midterms. You know, like, again, people tend to voice their opinion on these things at the ballot when they don’t have to voice their opinion.”

“And there are a lot of people that are afraid of talking about it,” Rogan responded. “But they’re not afraid of voting about it. Because there’s a lot of people that are afraid of the reprisal. They’re afraid of getting attacked, and they’ll sit silently, when they’re amongst friends going, ‘What the f*** is going on? Like what is going on?’ And those people, that’s going to be responsible for the red wave. I think the red wave that’s coming is going to be like the elevator doors opening up in ‘The Shining.’ That’s what I think. I think people are just like, ‘What the f*** are you saying?’ They’re making Republicans.”

Midterms are not the big prize, it’s Presidential Election years that are the big prize.

Less so now that the bureaucratic state is mostly untethered from executive branch leadership when it is a GOP POTUS.

"I’m more worried if they will actually do anything"

The odds of the republican'ts doing anything if they win are about the same as the odds of your healthy 8-year old dying from "COVID".

The New York Times will publish one more poll—just before the election—showing Republicans ahead in those key Senate seats.

Even Stevie Wonder could see this one coming...

Is anybody worried about all these premature celebrations and early declarations of victory? I have seen nothing like this in previous mid-terms.

We saw it in 2018, the "Blue Wave". They did win, but not as resoundingly as everyone in media said they would. But taking into account that the media is made up of DNC propaganda organs, not too surprising that they inflated dem chances.

On the other hand, dems simply did underperform to the expectations set. Keep eyes on the ball, folks. It aint over until several weeks from now when the votes stop being found and counted.

I hope so, but please no overconfidence. I heard (and somewhat repeated) talk like that in 2020.

Gov. Youngkin is out there for everyone to see. He not only overpowered Biden districts in VA, he had coattails down to school district races!

Politics is not rocket science, people are pissed off, there are not one but two generations who do not know Zimbabwe-style inflation from the 70s, and who do not know and did not know their ARMs could go UP!

No, this gobshite naysaying on FRacebook about the GOP's non-chances in these mid-terms was nothing more than FRacebookers pounding sand in the sand trap, par for the course. Amusing, like Caddyshack outtakes.

Good comments.

In the next week almost all voters will visit a grocery store—and they will be very angry.

Incumbent Democratic politicians at all levels of government will be the target of that anger.

This is a no brainer—and no other issue is even slightly relevant this year.

We were much more circumspect in 2010.

Not gonna happen. Many, many people have forgotten how to keep their eye on the ball, let along make a cogent argument.

Look how many people in society today are ALREADY making excuses for Republicans losing ("the vote was rigged", "the machines stole it!", etc.).

2020 went just fine, but for the massive number of magic Democrat votes found well after the voting was finished.

It doesn't go "just fine" unless you can make it stick.

So too this year perhaps.
