This is sanest thing I’ve ever seen a Libertarian candidate do.
GREAT news for Masters!!!!
Yes, libertarians are definitely socially liberal.
I’m sure that the DNC will be spinning this as something underhanded that Masters did...
Finally a libertarian that isn’t a kamikaze.
This is the first election i refused to vote third party. Voted straight GOP for the first time. We must wrest control of government from the dems. We can continue to improve the GOP as primaries occur.
The fellow made a lot of sense in the three-way debate. He came across as a common man as opposed to an egghead the way most Libertarians do. One poll showed him with 15 percent, but that turned out to be an odd-ball poll. I suspect with the small “l” libertarian wing of the Republican Party becoming significant, the man saw the light. Of course, small “l”s have to respect the other wings of the Republican Party (religious conservatives, populist conservatives and what remains of the moderate conservatives); whereas, cap “L”s are free to entertain all kinds of whack ideas. As a former cap “L”, I’ll just say come on in, the water’s fine.
A similar thing happened in the Montana Senate race in 2018, where the Libertarian became disenchanted with his Democrat string-pullers also at the last minute and announced he was no longer a candidate and endorsed the Republican. The media immediately came to the Democrat's rescue and tried to claim that Breckenridge's endorsement wasn't really an endorsement at all, in order to dilute the effect.
The too-late Libertarian dropout gambit didn't work then either, but maybe if the timing had been a little better the outcome would have changed.
Libertarian Breckenridge Endorses Rosendale In Montana Senate Race
Good move, Marc Victor. Now, send Kelly packing, Blake Masters.
3,000,000 voted already and that was updated 7 days ago. I’m sure it’s at least doubled today.
Big news.
Good news
Excellent news. However his name will be on the ballot.
O happy day!!!
A bit late, right? Hasn’t early voting been going on in AZ?
This is very helpful. The libertarian was polling at 3%. In a close race such as this, getting the majority of those 3% to switch to Masters could represent a victory margin for him
Arizona polls showed 6% going to the libertarian.
This is helpful.
In general I would say the Lune-tarians split 70-30 R over D. So this may add as much as 2% to Masters.
Also, people who vote libertarian in close races do it because they really don't want to vote Republican.
Good move.
