Kid Rock, one of former President Trump’s most vocal supporters, says he’s itching to reach across the aisle for a beer with former President Obama.
“I want to hang out with Obama and drink beer,” the “We the People” singer said on an episode of Bill Maher’s podcast “Club Random” released Sunday.
“I mean there’s not a cooler — all the presidents that I’ve, you know, [been] able to meet, from Jimmy Carter up,” Kid Rock, who was born Bob Ritchie, told Maher.
“He can get down,” the performer exclaimed of his desire to grab a cold one with the 44th president. “I want to drink beer with him.”
“I didn’t like a lot of his policies,” he continued. “I didn’t vote for him.”

Kid Rock might just find that the reputation the press liked to present is not the same guy in real life. My sense is that an hour hanging out with Obama would be like having someone poke you in the chest about twenty times a minute while your legs and hands are tied. Besides, I have a brother who has already told me how stupid I am and how smart he is. That’s basically Obama’s whole schtick.

I never voted for Obama and despise what he did as POTUS. But I wouldn’t mind at all sitting down and talking with him about music, pro sports, etc. Politics isn’t all there is to talk about, though Democrats never seem to understand that.

I guess opinions vary… Obama seems like a total dork to me.
On one episode of Law and Order: Criminal Intent, a Muslim told his girlfriend that Allah changed the wine he was drinking into a non-alcoholic beverage before it went down his throat. Might’ve been artistic license on the part of the script-writer but wouldn’t be surprised if some might rationalize their rule-breaking that way.
