Big news in Florida this week as the state's medical licensing board moves to ban bodily mutilation of transgender-identifying children:

Good on Florida. And when you see the testimony of Chloe Cole, the formerly transgender-identified young woman who has turned into a harsh critic of gender ideology, you'll understand why the board voted the way it did:

No words for that kind of testimony. Just prayers — for Chloe and for all children vulnerable to this horrible zeitgeist. May it end swiftly.
And who asked for it? An immature teen under the influence of bad people who now must bear part of the blame. Requiring parental authorization would not stop this insanity because not all parents are sane, but it would stop most.

I couldn’t agree more. These evil people are taking advantage of a natural response to one’s maturing body. Girls especially suffer from it because their maturation is more visible.
When I was a girl, many of my friends wore oversized clothes to hide their breasts because they brought unwanted attention from boys. Attention the girls weren’t ready to handle easily and didn’t want.
This young lady said something very important that parents need to take heed and try to head it off. She said that she got into an internet echo chamber of FAR LEFT ideology and inappropriate content. Parents must monitor what their kids of all ages are being exposed to and block them from access to content that is dangerous to them.
It seems a daunting task but every phone and computer has parental controls. Parents must use them and be more vigilant with their kids interactions online and at school.
Didn’t Janet Reno do about the same thing in Florida?

Could be any number of mental issues. You might look up Body Integrity Identity Disorder or Xenomelia/apotemnophilia, both mental illness’ in which the patient desires the amputation of a limb or body part. Requires psychiatric treatment but good luck finding a surgeon who will “cure” the patient by amputation. Other than after botched attempts at self amputation. There’s a similar disorder relating to a wish to be blind. These are rare, often arise in childhood, and not treated by encouraging amputation, even in adults much less children. I believe in the second example I gave the patient considers his limb to be “foreign”, not his. I see great similarities with sex change surgery.
That’s Chloe’s message, in a nutshell.
