“One clinical study showed that a moderate dose of pure THC causes psychotic symptoms in about 40% of people who lack a family history of psychosis. If you’re a casual user and your dosage is mild, that likely just means a touch of paranoia,” said neuroscientist Christine Miller, an expert on psychotic disorders.
Thirty-five percent of people who have experienced such symptoms, however, will go on to experience a full psychotic break, according to another study, if they continue their high risk environmental exposure by continuing to use cannabis.
According to multiple studies, for those who have ever suffered a full cannabis-induced psychotic break, the chance that, if you still keep using, you’ll eventually develop permanent schizophrenia is almost 50 percent. That’s a higher conversion rate than amphetamines, opioids or LSD.
But what really makes THC more dangerous than those other drugs, experts say, is that so few people consider it dangerous at all. “We know fentanyl is bad. We know meth is bad,” said Dr. Libby Stuyt, a recently retired addiction psychiatrist in Colorado. “We don’t know that marijuana is bad.”

In WA state I could easily infer that drunks smoke too, and in the same free wheeling way that makes them drunks. How can anyone seperate the two?
That was an interesting take. Sincerely.
Can't be. Because FR's own drug addicts insist it's safe.
Same here. I may break down and have some whiskey and a cigar if the midterms go well. I may do it anyway, if it looks like another steal.
...3 or 4 strong gummies...
______________________________
I have used Delta 8 & Delta 9 gummies for joint pain. These are 20mg doses. I cut them into 3 or 4 pieces and they help. The effects of even this portion lasts 6-7 hours.
I cannot deal with the levels of a full 20mg. I cannot even imagine taking 60-80 mg at once.
I am a child of the 60s and this stuff is way more potent than it was 60 years ago.
Whaa?
Dude, I haven’t been high since 1977, but reading your post made me feel like I was flashing back to the best/worst acid trip I ever took!
Each of your sentences sort of make sense, but none of them go together. Could you elaborate?
Whatever it is you were on when you wrote that post is much worse than weed.
I hear you. 6-7 hours is a long time. All edibles seem that way. Smoking is probably the least harmful way it takes so little and doesn’t last so long.
Good summary. Only thing I’d add was the enhanced enjoyment of music.
Long time ago for me. Mostly just beer nowadays, the occasional birthday shot.
Marijuana is often used as a treatment for anxiety disorders.
For four years working in my hospitals ER I've never ONCE saw a patient come in and be treated for ‘’marijuana induced psychosis''. Drunks, meth heads, crack addicts but never anyone bugging out over pot.
Potheads' own art reveals they do know something of their faegget demon drug's true nature lolz
“There are many people who have a psychotic break for life with first use.”
You cannot cite a single example of that.
Really
Garvey was largely buffoon
Rastas are mostly innocuous
And yes I’ve known them well it’s not Marley romanticism
Gunmen in Wareika Hills Kingston or Bog Walk May Pen are not rastas
They smoke ganja like they drink Dragon Stout
Rastafarians like Naya Binghi sect it’s an agrarian communal lifestyle
Only if you mean innocuous as in safely established and run by MNS & CIA. They were created to redirect pan-African sentiment into controlled and pot-stupefied oblivion.
Oh please
There was no CIA when Rastafarianism started in the 1930s
They were no pal of neo commie Michael Manley in the 70s and 80s in Jamaica
Nor Eddie Seaga either
They did love Halie Selassie in Ethiopia now though
Rastafarianism as such was not started in the 1930's. It was not until the 1940's and 1950's when various movements were directed into socialist communes. First use of the word "Rastafarian" for the movement did not even appear until the 1950's.
Quite around the time of CIA's official formation.
That was Haille Selassie of them.
Yes, many. I’ve attended medical research conferences just on this topic. It really started quite a few years ago when synthetic THC became popular.
The same thing happens with Ayahuasca.
I’ve worked with these patients myself, attended psychiatric Grand Rounds at the Med School on this topic.
Just Google the subject. There is plenty of research information out there. It’s not open to debate.
