President Biden is burning rubber away from the the midterm campaign trail.
The 79-year-old took his 1967 Corvette Stingray for a spin on an episode of CNBC’s “Jay Leno’s Garage” that aired Wednesday night.
Biden’s green convertible, featuring a 350-horsepower V-8 engine and a four-speed manual transmission, was no match for Michael Powell’s more powerful automatic 2015 Stingray.

I have not laughed so much since Jill got heckled at the ice cream shop.
That pic is priceless...LOL
“Bidet allowed by Secret Service to risk his life in a drag race?!.”
Nope. Fake publicity stunt.
“.and, the Tesla Model S Plaid set the all-time fastest laptime at the Nurburgring, if I’m not mistaken...”
For 4-door production car.
Thank you for the clarification!
There are SO many problems with the video. There is NO WAY that the WH staff would let him drag race.
No clear shot of Biden during the racing. The first time they show his face he is going about 35 mph when he’s supposed to be going over 100mph. His car is behind the other car the entire way and yet they list his speed as greater. The shut down area after the invisible finish line is so short they’d both go through the grass and into the trees before they could stop.
What a total load of crap.
They couldn’t even get the editing done correctly to make this POS believable.
I’d say high....
And the “strip” is less than 1/4 mile. They could never reach that speed without plowing into the trees.
I looked on satellite expecting some type of lengthy driving track but it measures about 300 yards in total length and maybe 10 lanes wide. More like a skidpad than a drag strip.
That has to be a fake/stunt-I’m pretty sure that a Potus isn’t allowed to drive-the security people had a fit every time Bush went for a getaway at his ranch and shut out the press because one of the things he did was drive his own pickup around the place to do chores-they acted like he’d been been doing movie stunts, called him irresponsible, etc...
“I looked on satellite expecting some type of lengthy driving track but it measures about 300 yards in total length and maybe 10 lanes wide”
That’s it.
Perfect for the myth busters.
....well, it’s possible you’ve driven one that didn’t get scary over 100mph. Unlike a Porsche, which is like sitting in your living room easy chair at 100 plus mph, the Vette is vibrating and rattling at over 100 mph.
Now, I agree with you the Vette is quicker. I’m not talking about that. I’m talking about how smooth REAL racing machines at high speeds ride and handle.
But, I could have bought a Porsche and chose to buy 4 Vettes over 20 years. That says something...., I guess.
Biden did not drive 118 mph.
They would have had better optics if he had.
“..well, it’s possible you’ve driven one that didn’t get scary over 100mph. Unlike a Porsche, which is like sitting in your living room easy chair at 100 plus mph,”
What is the latest vette you have driven?
The last decent night show host was Johnny Carson. At least he had class. Today’s hosts are inbreds.
“Today’s hosts are inbreds.”
According to ratings data, Gutfeld! took the number one position in the late night TV ratings with 2.19 million to Colbert’s 2.15 million. Gutfeld’s show airs weeknights on the Fox News Channel while Colbert’s show is broadcast on CBS.
Biden’s vette is a manual but the video shows his hands together at the top of the steering wheel.
I would have to agree, I forgot about Gutfeld.
I was comparing Carson to today’s network clowns.
We need the meme that says “This did not happen”/”This did not happen, just in yellows”.
118 KM/hr, maybe.
In that video, neither car is going over 70 mph.
118 mph in a convertible 67 corvette would nearly top out the front shocks from the terrible aero lift.
If it has a hydraulic lifter 350, THE TOP SPEED of a ‘67 Covette is 118 mph and it would take over a mile to get there.
The SS is going to let Biden mat his Vette for 2 miles.
