I thought the requirement of providing a closed caption device was done as transparently as possible. The monitor was behind the moderators so Fetterman could look at the moderators when they were speaking and the audience could see what the CC system was typing, so there was no question of “supplied” answers.
The fact they would claim this is an admission of just how bad he did

As an “honest” person who wants to represent their state, why didn’t John Fedderman just admit at the very beginning that with his stroke he could not function well enough to represent his constituents properly and withdraw so another Democrat could step in to do the job? To me this was just plain selfishness and greed.
