Re-posting in compliance with FR rules (we regret the error) Last time I posted with the title lifted from the URL as opposed to the Daily Mail's posted article, which is QUITE long. Got busted. Excerpt follows: "The teenage gunman who killed two people and injured seven others at a school in St. Louis has been named as a former student, it was revealed tonight. Orlando Harris, 19, was dressed entirely in black when he entered his former high school on Monday morning - shooting dead a female teacher and a teenage girl before being killed by police. He burst into the Central Visual and Performing Arts High School shortly after 9am on Monday and reportedly screamed: 'You're all going to die'. He was shot dead by police inside the school. Seven guards were inside the building at the time, but Michael Sack, commissioner of St. Louis police, refused to say at a Monday night press conference how he got inside. Sack said he did not want 'to give a blueprint' to other would-be gunmen. "

I thought the shooter was white.
He probably just opened the door and walked in, and that is why they will not say.
Only article I could find that has his picture.
It's the old "sources and methods" national security argument brought down to a local school.
So this really was a mass murder? Except it generated from anger over particular people that were killed.
Server farms have extremely low human populations relative to their floor areas, and therefore limited points of entry/exit, and low egress requirements.
Schools are jam packed with people coming and going constantly, and must be capable of rapid mass evacuation in case of fire. Out of a 1000+ high school kids, some are going to figure out how to evade security to sneak in and out, then the cork is out of the bottle. The will to make schools into high security prisons is not there.
In the current case, I bet students have some sort of card or code to get in, that the school officials were either too sorry to update, or the killer obtained a student’s card. He could also have just mingles in with a group of students.
as they entered. When the police don’t want to reveal facts in the aftermath of disaster, it is often to hide incompetence.
Funny how often the result of all that intelligence data is to do nothing so that no one knows we have it.
It’s more likely that acting on it just reveals it to be complete and utter bovine excrement.
iirc they saw him trying to get in...
“That’s nothing. In Maryland, several districts don’t allow their school police officers to even carry sidearms.”
I grew up/lived in PG County. They don’t want the cops to interfere with the daily thuggery in the schools and probably have to shoot students in self-defense.
If he were white, it would be on national news for the next month.
Hey Sack, the gunmen have already figured it out. And before long it might become a TikTok video. Why don't you let us know what happened so we can try to fix it. Could it be that someone actually let him in? Former student. Knows the staff, knows the building. Human error, not a failure in operations. How you going to fix that?
Sounds like Sack is living up to his name.
Indeed the MSM protects it’s own
Wonder what the data looks like of how many deaths the MSM has caused.
You know what their goal is, right?
?.........
Be careful, you too could be sued for a trillion dollars
Great news coverage.
The killer is white and black.
The SEVEN guards are armed and unarmed.
From the article. Proof we need to reopen the mental hospitals closed in the 1970s. Mass killings began to take off after the closings of the mental institutions.
“had no criminal history, they said. He did have a history of mental health issues,”
It’s clearly not a “hardened” building.
= = =
Yeah, but Math is Hard.
Because I have a little time on my hands today I went and looked up the Central Visual and Performing Arts High School.
A couple of interesting facts. It traces its history back to the old St.L. Central High School, which they claim is the oldest high school west of the Mississippi. So they’ve got that going for them.
They are now a ‘magnet’ school which is an attempt to try to get and keep talented kids to stay inside what amounts to a pretty lousy school district which only recently has been ‘accredited’.
And then there is this nugget. Enrollment is 400 students. And they have to have seven ‘guards’? Either a very rough school and/or a really rough neighborhood.
Who was Maddie texting with who was 7 min away?
