An unwritten pact binding the U.S. and Saudi Arabia has survived 15 presidents and seven kings through an Arab oil embargo, two Persian Gulf wars and the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. Now, it is fracturing under two leaders who don’t like or trust each other.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the kingdom’s 37-year-old day-to-day ruler, mocks Biden in private, making fun of the 79-year-old’s gaffes and questioning his mental acuity... He has told advisers he hasn’t been impressed with Mr. Biden since his days as vice president, and much preferred former President Donald Trump ...
Mr. Biden said on the campaign trail in 2020 that he saw “very little social redeeming value in the present government in Saudi Arabia.” He refused to talk to Prince Mohammed for over a year, and when they finally did meet in Jeddah in July, Saudi officials present felt that Mr. Biden didn’t want to be there, and was uninterested in the policy discussions
...
the enmity between Mr. Biden and Prince Mohammed has deepened the tension, and it is likely to get only messier..
Rarely has the chain of broken expectations and perceived insults and humiliations been greater than they are now ..There’s almost no trust and absolutely no mutual respect.
The decision by Saudi-led OPEC+ to cut oil production—raising crude prices at a time of high inflation just before an American election and despite U.S. pleas to hold off
...
In the past, Saudi kings and American presidents were able to smooth out turbulent periods with strong personal relations. In 2005, just a few years after 15 Saudis participated in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, President George W. Bush had hosted Crown Prince Abdullah at his Texas ranch, where the two men were photographed holding hands.

I really don’t see the Saudis as being upset with Brandon. They’re back to their market manipulating ways due to high oil prices and instability of reserves here in the US. Trump had managed our oil energy policy well, and the Saudis did not like that.
Not one American voted for him.
But the MSM says Trump is the amateur.
Trump would never make this mistake.
Name a world leader with respect to whom he harbored any visible animosity.
Brandon is practically flatlining mentally at this point.

“In Feels Up’s case it doesn’t matter.”
Yup, because in his case the two are so intertwined that they have become one, inseparable.
“Sad and ending days for our magnificent USA!!!”
Don’t give up the ship!
I dunno. We were doing fine with Saudi under President Trump. We were on the way to bringing them into the Abraham Accords. And we didn’t need to beg them for oil.
Now—under biden—things have gone from bad to worse!!!! Horrors!!!!
The POTATUS likely doesn’t remember who MbS is.
Must say I really respect these views of MBS, who is not my favorite person at all.
“Don’t give up the ship!”

He’s so full of shit, I’m surprised they have diapers designed to hold that pant load
That’s coming quickly, in Ukraine.
Bidet’s demonKKKrat neocons and deep state pals will see to it.
Ah, The Old Philosopher.
Biden is a complete left wing idiot.
Remember when they told you Trump was an Islamophobe? The Saudis loved Trump.
Didn’t he drop a load when he met with the Pope?
Yeah and cut a huge fart in front of Queen Elizabeth.
Roger that.
The Saudi’s much have f—ked with a Biden.
So true. Back in mid 68 I commanded a company of 3 US SF NCO’s and 120 plus Montagnards. These yards were no different than any Saudi except for their customs. They will accept you if you earn their respect. Biden has made no effort to learn the customs of leaders from other countries.
