Mastriano visits Northeastern PA before election day

Pecksville, Lackawanna County — State Senator and Republican gubernatorial nominee Doug Mastriano was holding his 'Restore Freedom Tour' in Monroe, Luzerne and Lackawanna counties today.

Mastriano is asking Pennsylvanians to volunteer for his campaign in the hopes that he can beat his Democratic challenger Attorney General Josh Shapiro next month.

Former attorney general Ernie Preate was a guest speaker and predicts Republicans will be victorious November 8th including in Harrisburg.

“Mark my words, there is a red wave coming,” said Preate.

Preate was one of several speakers at Mastriano's campaign event at the Fiorelli Banquet and Conference Center in Peckville tonight.

Mastriano’s running mate and West Scranton native Carrie DelRosso rallied her fellow Lackawanna residents.

“Know that you have a hometown girl here that’s on the ticket that’s going to fight for the northeast and Lackawanna County like no other," said DelRosso. "Especially for education.”

DelRosso emphasized the growing drug problem in schools here in northeast pa and across the Commonwealth.

Mastriano spoke on all the big topics from lowering property taxes to prioritizing coal.

“On day one we’re going to be out of the carbon tax, and we’re going to drill and dig like we’ve never done before,” said Mastriano.

He criticized his opponent for his work as Pennsylvania's attorney general

“One job: upholding law and order," said Mastriano. "On his watch, facts are stubborn things, crime has gone up 40% since he’s been in office. What a failure. People have lost their lives because of his ineptitude.”

He also mentioned the Commonwealth's homicide rate, sex trafficking and Shapiro’s COVID-19 mandates among other things.

As election day draws near, Mastriano encourages Republicans to talk to unregistered voters.

“There’s many, many people out there that are still not registered to vote or don’t vote much at all," said Mastriano.

We all had a fabulous time at Fiorello’s near Scranton yesterday. Optimistic crowd there. Doug was on fire. They said that they were going to run this fabulous vote-changing commercial about perversion attacks against our kids. They had better!

Dems spent big early with ads that became background noise because they were all so similar.

Oz and Mastriano visited every County, more than once in most cases. Now is the time for a last minute ad blitz to put the bright red cherry on top.

Mariano is the real deal. Oz is 1000% better than Festerman. Both need to win.
