US division ready to enter Ukraine in case of attack on NATO — TV

WASHINGTON, October 22. /TASS/. The US Army's 101st Airborne Division is ready to enter Ukraine in case of further tensions between Moscow and Kiev or an attack on a NATO member state, CBS News reported, citing the division’s command staff.

"We're ready to defend every inch of NATO soil," the division's Deputy Commander Brigadier General John Lubas said, as cited by the media outlet. Commander of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team Colonel Edwin Matthaidess, in turn, noted that his troops, deployed to Romania, have been "closely watching" the Russian forces, "building objectives to practice against" and conducting drills that "replicate exactly what's going on" in the war.

"In all, about 4,700 soldiers from the 101st Airborne's home base in Fort Campbell, Kentucky, have been deployed to reinforce NATO's eastern flank," CBS News noted.

"The commanders told CBS News repeatedly that they are always ‘ready to fight tonight,’ and while they're there to defend NATO territory, if the fighting escalates or there's any attack on NATO, they're fully prepared to cross the border into Ukraine," the media outlet added.

C'mon! Time to go to war!

If not, tomorrow, our kids will have to fight to defend this from the Russians!

putting a NATO border just over 300 miles from Moscow?

Do you seriously think that Russia would just sit by and let that happen? Or would they push back against that geo-political aggression?

well, one indirect consequence of Putin's illegal invasion is that it convinced Finland to join NATO ... and Finland is RIGHT ON Russia's borders

you said Russia "won't sit back" and let NATO be on their borders ... so then you're predicting Russia will attack Finland, right?

when will that happen?

“As a 101st veteran, I am appalled that we are risking escalation with Russia in support of the Biden family investments in Ukraine”.

As a 101st combat vet in Vietnam, I couldn’t agree more.

So, are you going to be donning some multicam, putting on a plate carrier and grabbing an M4 to help a, kind of, corrupt European country that is bleeding the US out of billions in cash and equipment, when the US has so many problems of it’s own?

You’re ok with our money propping up and paying their politicians?

Ukraine isn’t in NATO. We’re under ZERO obligation to help them. If Putin went after a NATO country, something we have no business being in anymore...the Europeans should be able to take care of themselves after 70 years....then yes, we should help.

The only reason all this sh*t is continuing is because our assistance is prolonging it. Little by little, Russia is taking down Ukraines power grid. It’s gonna get real cold, real fast.

So, at the end of the day, since Ukraine is NOT in NATO and Putin has NOT shown any aggression toward a NATO country, are you okay with sending in someone else’s son to fight and die for no reason?

I took an oath to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

I didn't take an oath to defend Ukraine or the European Union.

Excellent Point.

Any Military or Government Employee poster is in violation of their PRIMARY oath if they support or interfere in Ukraine.

There are way more than 4700 US troops in Europe.
Throw in the USAF and Navy and we are talking about, maybe, 50,000.

Of ground troops, the US has long since maintained an armored brigade in Poland and the “bones” of a full division including a division HQ there. Add in @40 US military installations in Germany, some of which maintain prepositioned equipment.

Take a look at those defeats (you left some off, both external and internal). Why do you think they were so hell bent on building a buffer between themselves and those who have inflicted the vast majority of those defeats? Take a look at the deterioration of the Russian position vis a vis NATO since 1991.
Imagine Trump’s reaction if, in 2017, Putin’s installed puppet, the new socialist president of Mexico, announced that Mexico was becoming the Warsaw Pact’s 30th member (Britain and France being numbers 28 and 29). What might Trump have done? It’s a mirror image of the predicament Putin found himself in. Remember, most of the new NATO members had the boot heel of a murderous 70 year Soviet reign of terror squarely on their necks 35 years ago. Putin is a very dangerous, cornered and guilty as hell animal. The Russians aren’t going to just lay down and allow that last domino to fall. The idiots DC are going to blunder us into WWIII playing world policeman again.

Amen! Step by step. Day by day. Minute by minute. The disciples and worshipers of Lying Joe Biden and George Soros on Free Republic.com are pushing us to a full blown nuclear war with Russia. The only question remaining to be answered is, how much further they have to push and how long will it take? But as sure as Monday follows Sunday it will happen. Because for the Great Reset and One World Government to happen, both Russia and the United States of America must be destroyed. The destruction of Russia will be the more difficult for them to accomplish for a number of reasons. The United States of America is low hanging fruit and can be picked at their leisure. There are a substantial number of citizens who hate America and would be glad to participate in its demise.

And if there is a Russian “attack on Nato”

IF is a big, little word.

Amazing how so many folks on here, Zelensky-fanbois because of Big Bad Russia, while 1000s of military age males pour across our border every f**king day, inflation getting worse and worse, potential energy shortages here, we the taxpayers financially propping up the operating costs, salaries and pensions of government officials in Ukraine, illegal alien kids entering our schools and raising our school taxes and counting, the list goes on, and so many of you willing to send someone else’s son to die for a corrupt POS.

Over.....IF...Russia attacks a NATO country. If there’s one thing this thing has proven, Russia wasn’t as big and bad as everyone thought and if it did attack NATO, they’d lose in a gigantor way.

On a side note, shouldn’t the modern, western governments and militaries of Europe and NATO be able to stand on their own two feet after 6 or 7 decades of being protected by Uncle Sam? Or should the US continue to provide the security blanket for a group of countries that, for the most part, hate America? Or at least, hated the last President and his supporters because he and theyn actually wanted them to take care of themselves and own up to their end of the agreement.

Absolutely amazing.

Russian then must pay restitution to Ukraine.

Or should they pay the US taxpayer back since we’re the ones propping up Urkaine’s government and prolonging all of this.

Were you this apoplectic over Russia’s actions when they took Crimea during Soetero’s admin? No. You know why? Because the media and the war hawks didn’t want you to.

“The Russians are the true aggressors in this conflict. Do you want a larger war to result by not supporting Ukraine in defending itself? “

Patriotic Americans do not care who the aggressor is as we do not have a dog in this hunt. We care only for what’s in the best interests of America.

A larger war is FAR more likely to result due to our “supporting Ukraine defending itself”.

You going to force Russia to pay “restitution”?
NATO going to force Russia to pay “restitution”?
US going to force Russia to pay “restitution”?
Germany maybe?
UK maybe?

You need to lay off the Kool-Aid before you drown in it.

This bit is utter stupidity -

“Biden family investments in Ukraine.”

Young Biden (and his daddy of course) was being paid by the Burisima company, which was a Russian owned entity, through cutouts, run by a crony of the pre-2014 Russian puppet Yanukovych.

Biden was up to his ears in Putinist oligarch interests, including, for the most part, direct dealings in Russia. Among other things besides Burisima, he was receiving direct payments from Putin allies to one of Hunters entities, Rosemont Seneca. The MSM didnt want to play up this part of course, because it would just have made the whole thing look worse.

It is a completely cretinous meme that Biden was dealing with “Ukraine”. Biden was dealing with Russians, full stop.

You have been shamefully fooled (as in, you should be ashamed) by your MSM. The details and scale of the Biden corruption are still unpublicized.

The fighting is bound to escalate so there is the way into war.
