On another note, I may be wrong, but I don’t think a former president has ever been subpoenaed to appear before Congress. This needs to be a rallying call for everyone who cares about this country.

There is a strict separation of powers for a reason. The Congress has no authority to question a sitting (at the time) president for obsessions they have.
