The House committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol released its full subpoena to former President Trump, detailing 19 areas of inquiry it wishes to discuss with the former president and asking him to appear for a deposition on Nov. 14.
“As demonstrated in our hearings, we have assembled overwhelming evidence, including from dozens of your former appointees and staff, that you personally orchestrated and oversaw a multi-part effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election and to obstruct the peaceful transition of power,” Chair Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) and Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) wrote in the letter accompanying the subpoena.

I was thinking something along the lines of "I have a two word answer for the esteemed Senator. The first word rhymes with 'blow', and the second word rhymes with 'me'". More polite that way. And, if he ever really gets called on it, he can tell them that he meant 'go thee', as in 'go thee from my sight'. Then, as a follow up, he can tell them that their original interpretation was a result of their dirty disgusting minds. Win-win.
I would love to see this live. Trump walks in, takes oath to tell the truth them immediately claims rights under 5th amendment. NOT ONE WORD SPOKEN BY TRUMP FROM THAT POINT FORWARD. Dead Silence from Trump. Just sits down. They can’t force testimony. Hardest part will be for Trump to remain absolutely silent, but it would be Priceless.

It’s not Trump. The one right before he tested positive for Covid was a disaster. He took Biden’s bait, he took Chris Wallace’s too.

Trump is harmless. He was then and is now. His words to “peacefully and patriotically protest” means more than his attempts to assert his rights through the courts and electoral processes.
No one is arresting political figures who called for unfaithful electors in 2000, 2016. Calling for “peaceful protest” is the exact opposite of attacking the peaceful transition of power.
There are legitimate questions about 2020. Covid was taken advantage of and election law was miraculously mailable in the Democrat favor
Trump didn’t listen to the smart advice he was given, they got under his skin and he didn’t recover. He had an opportunity to put the election away and failed. The loss, whether he can accept it or not, falls on him. The shenanigans happened but we’re not enough to “steal“ the election from him without him doing what he needed to do to appeal to fence sitters.
The democrats spend a lot of money devising October surprises (plural). I'd love to be a fly on the wall of one of their "October surprise" brainstorming sessions.

He should inform the committee that since it’s formation was not done in accordance with the rules of Congress, the subpoena carries no weight.
