We are in debt to the tune of $31 Trillion. Adding in social security makes it even worse.
We are running deficits of Trillions of dollars every year.
Do we ave money to waste on Ukraine right now?
Nope.
Not to mention Ukraine is not and has never been an ally of the United Sates. They are not part of NATO or any defense organization we belong to. Right now, this is just a way for the "Big Guy" to get his normal 10%.
Ukraine is not and has never been our responsibility.
Let them go to their Europeans pals to look after them if they must beg for money and arms from somewhere.
Of course, I've pointed out before the fact that there's plenty of money for a robust national defense, as soon as we eliminate squandering $trillions on corrupt Democrat vote-buying schemes.

Yes, we did make a formal committment to Ukraine, in 1994, the Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances says, in part:
2. The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America reaffirm their obligation to refrain from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of Ukraine, and that none of their weapons will ever be used against Ukraine except in self-defence or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations..."
