In Arizona, Kari Lake Makes Waves She’s winning by following Reagan’s admonition to lift ‘a banner of bold colors, no pale pastels.’

Political professionals, the Democratic establishment and an antagonistic media are aghast that Kari Lake, the Republican candidate for governor of Arizona, appears to be on a glide path to victory next month. Name recognition and communication skills developed over a 25-year career as a TV news anchor in Phoenix have served Ms. Lake well as a candidate. But authenticity is her best asset.

She's a combination of Trump and DeSantis, especially in handling the left wing media.

True. She was in the business for 30 years, so she knows how they operate.

Kari is a great counter puncher with the media. Having come out of that industry, she is well versed in quickly disarming a media gotcha question and then going on offense and rubbing their nose in the facts. And all the while doing it with a confident smile. Incredibly bright cackle free communicator with a command of the issues and policy. I am speculating we will only have her 2 years as Arizona’s governor before she is tapped by DeSantis, if he is nominated, as a Vice Presidential running mate. Can you imagine a VP debate between Kari and Kamala? It would be like Ali fighting a bum of the month club. She would wipe the mat with her.

I'd add communication skills as an asset, much like Reagan.

The thought occurs to me that a conservative could win an election just about anywhere if they just targeted the media and exposed their hypocrisy and bias. They don’t really even have to talk about the issues. Everyone already knows where we stand.

People hate the media and love to see them exposed. She’s doing that and winning. Trump set the groundwork on the issues....now it’s just a matter of defeating the enemy within...the media. She’s a genius and so is DeSantis.

I recall even Chris Christie was gaining in popularity when he did this on the debate stages, then of course he crashed and burned when he chose to replace the media with Trump.

Contrast with McCarthy - “If we win the House we will demand unconditional surrender. And even if the democrats reject our surrender, we will surrender regardless.”

Until GOP leadership in congress changes our best bet are the governors. Even if the new America First congressional candidates win a GOP majority all McConnell and McCarthy need to do to end their political careers in a single term is sit on their hands. Those two clowns gotta go.

If she wins, she’ll probably catch retaliation hell from the RAT “media” much like what President Trump is going through. Every morning, a new allegation by unknown journalism school dropouts who got jobs with a liberal rags for other reasons.

Agree with one caveat. Namely, there is no “probably” to it. This maelstrom imposed on America by marxist democrats, the media and RINO’s after Trump came down the escalator (June 16, 2025) has nothing to do with Trump the man.

Rather, this violent, no holes barred strategy by the marxists will transfer to WHOMEVER (Kari Lake & DeSantis are next) is the next Republican Candidate because, other than stealing elections, the Democratic Party is out of gas. The American people are not buying the SOCIALISM and COMMUNISM the Democratic Party has been peddling. They (Democrats, RINO’s (Mitchell), MSM) truly have pissed in their Post Toasties.

She doesn’t take any crap. My son in law met her and said she’s a little tiny thing, but amazingly ferocious. She’s going to slide right in after Trump and De Santis as the GOP superstars.

Tucker Carlson did his whole monologue on her last night and then brought her on for an interview.

I like your forward vision, but with all due respect, Trump will be our Presidential candidate in 2024.
DeSantis in 2028 if we still have a Constitutional republic.
Lake is young and has plenty of time to hone her new profession.

My dream for my retirement and old age…Trump in 2024, DeSantis/Lake in 2028 and Lake in 2036. I’ll go to my reward happily.
