REUTERS: Pro-Trump conspiracy theorists hound election officials out of office

Nevada

Businessman Robert Beadles claimed he had found evidence of widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election. He went on the attack, targeting a 48-year-old woman who runs elections in Nevada’s Washoe County

“Now, let’s talk about treason. That’s right, treason,” Beadles told a Feb. 22 county commissioners’ meeting in Washoe, the second-largest county in this election battleground state. The Republican activist falsely accused the registrar of voters, Deanna Spikula, of counting fraudulent votes and told commissioners to “either fire her or lock her up.”

After the meeting, Spikula’s office was flooded with hostile and harassing calls from people convinced she was part of a conspiracy to rig the election against former U.S. President Donald Trump. On March 2, a caller threatened to bring 100 people to the county building to “put this to bed today.” Spikula, under severe stress, stopped coming into the office. A post on Beadles’ website said she was “rumored to be in rehab.” That was false, she said; she was at home, working on a state elections manual.

By late June, fearing for her family’s safety, she’d had enough and submitted her resignation.

Beadles’ campaign in Washoe is part of a wave of efforts by pro-Trump activists to gain control of voting administration by replacing county government leaders with election conspiracy theorists. Some are spending big money. In Nevada, Beadles has poured hundreds of thousands of dollars into campaigns targeting opponents of Trump’s false rigged-election claims and backing Republicans who believe them.

The goal: to profoundly change how U.S. elections are run. Right-wing activists want to eliminate voting machines and return to hand-counting of paper ballots, which experts say would make elections more prone to fraud, not less. Trump allies have also targeted the ballot drop boxes and mail-in voting that Democrats embraced in 2020

The Republican activist falsely accused the registrar of voters, Deanna Spikula, of counting fraudulent votes and told commissioners to “either fire her or lock her up.”

Does Reuters have any evidence to support their assertion that the Republican activist falsely accused the registrar of voters?

What is the basis of Reuters unsupported assertion?

The majority of the voters question the integrity of the vote. The seriousness of the charge warrants investigation.

Good Riddance. She obviously could not prove her results were not fake.

The authors of this reuter propaganda piece are nothing but democrat activists. Looking up their Twitter feeds, it’s all anti-trump, anti-republican posts. Nary a mention of Biden, or Hunter Biden, or Democrats, much less their lies, incompetence, or their corrupted activities.

Joseph Tanfani in particular wrote quite a few pieces on the debunked Russian collusion hoax when trump was in office. In such reports you won’t find words such as “falsely accused”, “conspiracy theorists”, or “false claims”. Especially not used against Trump’s accusers. Nope. Tafani reported on the Trump/Russian collusion hoax as if it actually happened.

The media claims harassment and name calling, except when they do it.

Who are these unnamed “experts” and how would paper ballots be less secure?

The MSM is always tossing in the phrase “experts say”, with no example of the alleged expertise.

I gleefully call for a national holiday for November elections every 2 years and would proudly display my purple-inked pinky finger to ensure that software had NOTHING to do with American elections.

It’s interesting that when Zuckerberg poured about $400 MILLION into his effort to flood the election system with democrat operatives, and when the Media-Dem Party coerced states into illegally changing their election laws not a negative peep was uttered by the so-called “mainstream media”.

Now they are worried that activists from the other side are undoing the Media-Dem Party’s plan to continue to steal elections.

Aren’t democrats always encouraging their supporters to get in people’s faces and scream and harass them?

What a bunch of weenies! They do not have the toughness of mind and character to hold public office. Now exposed for what they are, they need to retire or be turfed out at the first opportunity.

True that! When the Republicans act and talk like the Democrats, they are “supporting conspiracy theories”. When Hillary Clinton denied the 2016 elections and that Trump was an illegitimate President, was that “conspiracy theories” to those on the left? No? Of course not.

Translation: It works you can count chads but you can’t tell what the machine did after it’s been reset.

The goal: to profoundly change how U.S. elections are run.

ALWAYS accuse your enemies of that which you yourself are doing.

The three failed English majors who wrote this agitprop piece need "The gates of King's Landing" treatment.

They're Commie operatives.

“The goal: to profoundly change how U.S. elections are run.”

Yes, we PROFOUNDLY want our elections to be honest, fair and incorruptible. Why, oh why, would they object to that?
