The electric carmaker is growing fast but investors are worried that sales are starting to slow because of higher prices and interest rates.
Tesla on Wednesday reported a big jump in its quarterly profit as sales of its electric cars soared in the three months that ended in September.
The electric carmaker said it made $3.3 billion in the third quarter, up from $1.6 billion in the same period a year earlier and nearly matching the record profit it reported in the first three months of the year. It reported revenue of $21.5 billion, up from $13.8 billion.
Tesla said this month that it had produced more than 365,000 cars in the third quarter, a 50 percent increase from a year earlier. Sales also surged but investors have grown increasingly concerned about signs that suggest that demand for the company’s luxury cars might be weakening.

Are they on fire?
No.
Sales came in below expectations.
Down 11 dollars a share in aftermarket. Not the kind of fire Musk would like.
Total Tesla sales now eclipse F-Series sales?
Investors and experts have turned on Musk when he came out in support of real free speech.
Musk has more support from investors and Tesla users than any other auto CEO.
By far.
Musk has just under 110 million Twitter followers. No other CEO even comes close.
And, Tesla spends nothing on advertising and still sells vastly more EV’s than anybody else.
Teslas sell like hotcakes because they are, by a mile, the best EV on the market. Nothing else even comes close.
And how many of those sold were bought by fed, state, county and cities ?
With tax money.
Tesla hasn’t gotten EV tax subsidies for over 2 years.

“Teslas sell like hotcakes because they are, by a mile, the best EV on the market. Nothing else even comes close.”
I see more and more everyday.
So are you saying the states, feds, counties and cities didn’t use tax money to buy the e.v’s ?
What did they buy them with, good looks ?
/-)
I said nothing about subsidies.
But I’m glad for those 2 years though, that makes me feel a little better.

13 Reasons Why People Put Others Down
1. To make themselves feel better.
As backwards as it may sound, these people feel better about themselves by making others feel worse.
They will typically have low self-esteem, and their misguided way of boosting it is to take aim at another person.
Even though they, themselves, are insecure, a common technique they’ll use is to pinpoint the insecurities of others.
Their ego will get temporary relief from its own pain by inflicting hurt upon someone else.
Of course, this relief does not last long, and so the perpetrator is always on the lookout for ways to put people down.
