Granholm: We Want to ‘Accelerate the Transition to Clean Energy’ EVs Will Help Consumers ‘If’ They’re Able to Get One ‘Eventually’
Breitbart ^ | 10/19/2022 | Ian hatchett

Posted on 10/19/2022 3:15:32 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

On Wednesday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Katy Tur Reports,” Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said that the Biden administration wants “to accelerate the transition to clean energy, so that we’re not held hostage to these global ups and downs and volatility associated with the fossil fuel sector.” And that increasing U.S. electric vehicle production “will reduce the demand for fossil fuels and certainly will alleviate people’s pocketbooks if they’re able to be able to get into one of those electric vehicles eventually.”

Convention of States is a big part of the problem. They would have you believe there is no problem with a convention of States. That idea, on its face should tell you all you want to know.

You want a media circus sufficient to ditch the second and the first amendment? It is precisely what you will get. The question that should be asked: Is the Constitution the problem? No, people paying little to no attention to the Constitution is. So, in your opinion what good are proposed amendments to a dead, in their minds, document when the document isn’t the problem?????????

This idea of social engineering Orwellian high-density living zones for the American people will not work. People need personal transportation for a infinite amount of personal needs. People need short distances from their personal transportation to their abode—not long treks from the mass transit stop to their abode. People will not stand for surveillance of their every move, crammed like test animals with right stripped away, private property ownership gone, single family homes no more, private car ownership and individual travel choices destroyed, and privately owned farms ended—all as a sacrifice to the environmental god put forth by self-righteous elites.

“...so that we’re not held hostage to these global ups and downs and volatility associated with the fossil fuel sector.”

Just the opposite. Solar and wind are very unreliable; fossil fuels are steady and dependable.

***And that increasing U.S. electric vehicle production “will reduce the demand for fossil fuels and certainly will alleviate people’s pocketbooks if they’re able to be able to get into one of those electric vehicles eventually”***

Yes, this will alleviate your wallet from all your money.

News never mentions how expensive it is to charge your EV.

And some charge stations are so ineffective it can take days to charge a car sometimes.

Plus the cost is about as much as you pay for air conditioners in your home

And the Green infrastructure will NEVER produce enough juice to charge up all the EVs there would be when there are no gas/diesel vehicles left.

Clean Nuclear and LNG are the best least polluting way to produce electricity.

And they want to phase those out.

Coal will be used.

They are so STUPID!

WELL, not really.

It’s their plan to destroy civilization.

They want all of us to just stay home and curl up and die

And they will do it if they are not stopped!

Granholm might even eventually get a brain if they can one small enough to put into her empty skill.

How about someone stuff a flaming EV up her rear? Oh, wait...if they do, we won’t be able to hear her speak.

Since she seems to know nothing about the energy we need, I’d say she has none of the qualifications needed for Sec. of Energy. Who put her in there? They/he needs to be fired as well. She may as well be Sec. of Education, but could probably do almost as much damage there.

Not only will the new Cadillac EV be prohibitively priced, but you may not be able to find a dealer for one. Look to be losing some previous Cadillac dealers for obvious reasons.

Granholm needs to make a 178 mile trip across Wyoming in a Nisson Leaf, but in the dead of winter with temperatures below zero. She won’t be waxing eloquent about EVs after that experience.

The goal is to force most people to move into high density apartments in democrat controlled cities and ride mass transit.

Pruett-Igoe and the other demolished public housing projects will seem like peaceful, luxuriant dwellings compared to what they have planned for us.

Exactly. And in all cities, and suburbs too.

That’s their long term plan.

In many suburbs they are building 3 story homes, with the bottom floor being a business.

Near the town center, within walking distance of shopping centers and bus lines.

And in California, near the Smart Train, for longer trips.

Oh, and the High Speed Bullet Train is dead.

3X OVER BUDGET!$$$$$

so their releasing 15 million barrels and claim to then buy enough to refill the reserve; so how does that bring prices down?

US energy policy should be, to

- OK coal-fired plants for generating electricity
- OK natural gas usage for generating electricity
- OK increases of natural gas production
- OK increases of gas transportation pipelines
- OK fossil fuel refining
- OK fossil fuel exporting
- OK adding to the Strategic Petroleum Reserve(s)

Thus supplying significant downward pressure upon the price of energy.

Otherwise, energy restrictions and shortages, benefit Putin’s ever-moving, annexation goal-posts.

Where, just beyond such west-bound moving, Do Not Cross This Russian Line(s), Putin again protests that NATO is at the Russian “border” de jeur.

Socialists call that, “moving forward.”

"No way could Americans afford an EV."

Used vehicles might be cheap. I wonder if the second owner gets stuck with the disposal fee.
