Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming has hit out at House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy's suggestion that a Republican-led House might block military aid to Ukraine, describing the idea as "disgraceful."
Cheney, the vice chair of the January 6 select committee, made the remark on Tuesday while taking questions at an event at the Harvard Institute of Politics.
The Republican congresswoman was asked by a student whether the U.S. could "credibly promote and support democracy" around the world when it's "falling apart" in this country.
In response, Cheney, one of the most vocal Donald Trump critics in the GOP, said first that the U.S. must make sure it is "doing everything necessary" to support the Ukrainian people as Kyiv battles Russia's invasion.
She went on: "I don't know that I can say I was surprised, but I think it's really disgraceful that Minority Leader McCarthy suggested that if the Republicans get the majority back that we will not continue to provide support for the Ukrainians."

Ukraine is huge money laundering op for the rats. I am sick if Biden pouring money over there too. My point is this will turn into “the Republicans want to abandon Ukraine”. It’s not what McCarthy meant but MSM will make it that. 3 weeks to go, he should have waited on this.

The USA has a nasty habit of pulling out on our allies and leaving them to the their fate at the hands of our enemies. When we get tired of a war or cause—we just leave them high and dry. Remember Saigon 1972? Kabul last years? Lets hope Mr. Putin is in a good mood at the end of this war and will not be too harsh on the Ukrainian People.
