Donald Trump blamed the US and its leadership for "almost forcing" Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine.

Appearing on Real America's Voice, Trump accused the US of taunting Putin with "dumb" rhetoric.

Trump repeated a baseless claim that the Ukraine-Russia war would not have happened if he was still president.

Former President Donald Trump blamed the US for "almost forcing" Russian President Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine, Newsweek was the first to report.

During an interview on Saturday morning on Real America's Voice, a right-wing network, the former president accused the US and its leadership of goading Putin into waging a botched invasion of Ukraine on February 24.

"They actually taunted him, if you really look at it, our country and our so-called leadership taunted Putin," Trump said. "I would listen, I would say, you know, they're almost forcing him to go in with what they're saying. The rhetoric was so dumb."

It’s not “baseless” to say this war would not have happened with Trump as president Under Bidenour guy Zelensky openly talked about inviting NATIONAL nukes into Ukraine, aimed at the city of Moscow from right next door.

When the Soviets put missiles into Cuba, JFK threatened to invade, because that was aiming at us from right next door.

Do Biden’s people not know history, or did they WANT to provoke war with Russia.?

I want Trump back. A common-sense, pro-peace president. Unlike Biden, he doesn’t gamble with the lives of the American people by provoking wars

If the shoe fits wear it.

Trump would have warned Putin what his limits were ahead of time instead of poking him in the nose like Creepy Joe did.

I don’t know how any liberal can deny this simple truth: when Trump was president, Putin did not attack Ukraine. When Biden stole the election, he did. I mean... what else is there to say?

Trump’s advisers must be telling him that the ‘Putin wing’ of his base is big enough that he needs to throw them a bone. Come on Mr President you know better than that. You yourself said you privately threatened Putin that if did ‘something stupid’ in Ukraine you would ‘hit Moscow’. Stop listening to your idiot advisers and go with your own gut.

Xiden sent five signals to Putin indicating that Russia should “visit” Ukraine. 1.) EO13990 (Keystone Pipeline); 2.) Afghanistan; 3.) Going along with the NS 2 pipeline; 4.) Fighting against the pipeline between Israel and Europe; 5.) Saying in Feb, 2022 that a “little incursion” would be OK. All of this after this blowhard bragged when he was VP (it’s on video) that he threatened to hold $$ to Ukraine if they didn’t fire the investigator looking into Burisma.

"They actually taunted him, if you really look at it, our country and our so-called leadership taunted Putin," Trump said.

I don't know that you can taunt a world leader into starting a war unless his own military leaders told him he would win it. Putin's invasion of Ukraine is on him. I will say, though, that I don't believe he would have dared it if Trump was still president. Weak US leadership like we have now has consequences world-wide.

Yes, and the dumb rhetoric never ends with this regime. Anything to stir up chaos and break the backs of Americans.

“Almost forcing” how? What could Zelinsky have done to prevent Putin from invading? Short of a flat out surrender to all his demands?

Biden’s people, that is the people in the media and deep state who tell him what to do and say, want war with Russia.

In the short term their goal is to have an excuse for martial law in the U.S.
