Reasonable People Won't Launch War: One of the Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO’s Twitter followers on Friday quote-tweeted a Reuters story on the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) starting nuclear drills with B-52 bombers on Monday.
Responding to him via tweet, Musk suggested no reasonable person would launch a nuclear war.
Russia has the ability to destroy USA & Europe utterly with nuclear missiles in less than 30 minutes & vice versa.
A surprising number of people don’t know this.
Of course, it would be MAD to use them, but it is also MAD to be in this situation at all.

Precisely, and considering that Russia's supporters include China, North Korea, and Iran, I cannot fathom how anyone who professes to care about this country argues that we back down to these threats. Because if it works for Russia, rogue nations like Iran and North Korea are going to be next, and they're just nutty enough to actually pull the trigger.

I’m not the richest man in the world but even I knew that.
I somehow don't think Ukraine would be threatening us with first use of nuclear weapons even if they have them. They are not our enemy.
But regardless of whether they would or would not even if they did have them, the fact that they don't have them doesn't change the validity of the argument. Russia is threatening first use of nuclear weapons, and Ukraine is not. And by threatening first use of nuclear weapons for the sole purpose of conquering territory in a neighboring country, Russia has crossed the line that neither the United States nor the Soviet Union ever crossed during the entirety of the Cold War.
So for those who claim that us unrepentant cold warriors have refused to recognize that Russia is not the Soviet Union, and therefore not a threat, Russia has just proven the opposite to be true. It is actually worse than the Soviets were.
That has been the case for decades.
What's new about that? And Russia doesn't need to blackmail anybody over nukes. They've had nukes almost as long as we have, and still have the most powerful nuclear arsenal on the planet.

I’m Gen X and I know this and I know about “mutually assured destruction.” But Gen X is over 50 now and middle aged and Boomers are dying off…it’s good Musk is educating millions of millennials and Gen Z. Schools no longer have nuclear bomb drills—now they have active shooter drills.
