A Trafalgar Group poll this past weekend revealed that a Republican candidate leads a Democrat candidate by 5.3 percentage points on the generic congressional ballot. The poll found that of the 1,079 likely general election voter respondents, 48.2 percent would vote for the generic Republican candidate, while 42.9 percent would vote for the Democrat candidate. Additionally, less than a month before the election, only 8.9 percent said they were undecided.

Watch Biden, and every Globalist, Establishment player, now ratchet up their attacks on Russia.

They have to have something occur that allows the November Election results to turn their way.

Absent some sort of October surprise or really innovative Democrat cheating, this will be a wave election, meaning 240 to perhaps 245 Republican seats.

53 to 55 Senate seats.

Bet the rent money.

This will be greater than what happened in 1994, maybe much greater.

Not according to Fox News this morning. Their pollster (Republican they indicate) has dems up 2 pts in the generic. Back to the old “people are split and can’t decide canard.

So Fox News has the Dems up 2pts in the generic poll. Trafalgar has the GOP up 5 pts and Rasmussen has the GOP up 7 pts.

Whom should I believe? It’s a tough call./s

I just would not do for them to throw in the towel and say there will be a rout. Wouldn’t be prudent.

At this point—unless something really big happens— you have to count the undecideds as republicans. Which means the margin of victory for the republicans is going to be significantly higher than most currently anticipate.

Even if a poll like this was right on the money, it means nothing on a national scale. What matters is by district.

At this point, with the economy as it is and with no alteration of that possible at this late point, about the only October Surprise that could have any impact would be nuclear detonations on American soil…and even that wouldn’t help the party in power, most likely.

I don’t think the Democrats are even trying to win the votes at this point. They are instead going to attempt to win the period of Lawfare that will occur after the votes are cast and before new office holders are sworn in. They aren’t about to begin accepting the results of elections now that they wield all power in Washington.

My concern arises out of the scenario that sees the economic deluge coming after Christmas just about the time the Republicans take control of the House and Senate touching off the great debate about what to do as our economy and our culture disintegrates from under our feet.

Democrats and the media will propose leftist legislation that will only exacerbate inflation and make matters worse but the media will join them in painting the Republicans as heartless and selfish.

Perhaps this election tells us that the debate over who's at fault for our economic mess is now settled but I fear that we might lose the debate over what to do about it.

This is a serious concern (my only alteration to your scenario is that I think the real economic deluge could come very shortly post-election, before Christmas).

I don’t anticipate that a new Congress will enter with a unified purpose and a set of actions that will be effective to the crisis at hand. They may only get one shot, and that shot, to be effective, would magnify the economic pain and disruption in the near term. The Left will be in the streets wreaking havoc and destruction almost immediately.

Your concern is well founded.

Five points is not enough lead. The ‘Rats can easily manufacture that many in critical locations. The President still has his greatest voter fraud organization in history. It may be damaged a little, but it’s mostly intact.

Fox News polls are worthless.

And yes, the left already has the articles writting up for the 23-24 gameplan. Heartless Republicans won’t spend more to help. Right now we have them on the defensive, and we need to keep it that way. The problem is, the Republican leadership is so spineless, they immediately start caving. Some of this new blood that will be going to Washington needs to take this party by the balls.
