It’s way too early for this kind of cold. Like your kitties, the critters around here don’t eeeeeeeven have winter coats yet. They’re talkin’ lows in our area in the upper 20s tomorrow night and the next couple of nights after. Tomorrow won’t be fun because it’ll be windy on top of being chilly.
Then mid 70s again next weekend. What a roller coaster ride!

Heavy morning fog; rain; trying for some blue sky; rain.
And more rain coming. And Friday could bring some snow...and I have to drive to an all day conference.
The Friday music thread will probably be posted late, after I get home.

Oh, just lovely. Just what you need to make Friday complete .... snow. Maybe it’ll be nice and hold off until you get home.
That’s a big maybe, I know.

Really hoping for rain...LOL!! Much better for driving. At least it’s sort of in the middle of Anchorage...Loussac Library.
Last year was a zoom meeting online. I would LOVE for this years to have been as well.

Yikes! Be careful in the snow. If you need me to post the thread for you, let me know. I’m pretty sure I’ll be here.

From the cam, it’s hard to tell how far into town those fog banks are but they don’t have to be TOO far from the mountains to swallow her up.
We get fog fairly often, usually at night. It comes off the lake behind us and can be super-thick at times. It’s kinda neat to get out to walk around in it when it’s thick. Mysterious.

Yeah, rain will be a lot better than snow. I do hope you don’t have to go out Saturday, though, because it sounds like the temp is going to drop and the streets will be glazed with ice.
Gotta wonder why she’s dragging everyone into town this year when Zoom would have worked again.

I've always loved the poem: "The fog comes on little cat feet. It sits looking over harbor and city on silent haunches and then moves on."
It is mysterious.

Can’t say I’ve ever heard that poem before.
It does work. >^..^<

People are coming from chapters all over the state. I have no idea if other employers allow their payroll folks to work from home. And there are lots of social folks in the chapters. I’m just not one of them. They are having a meet and greet with cocktails Thursday evening. Am I going? No. It is after working hours, I hate crowds, I don’t do small talk, and I don’t drink.
I’m a happy hermit.
