A guy working for me died of “Covid.”
In his early 70s, overweight, heart stints, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, he had pneumonia and waiting to go to the hospital until his wife and kid “made him go.” He died of heart failure but was a Covid statistic.

How many of those excess deaths got their shots?

How many people died from COVID. The people who died with COVID were always counted as those who died from it.
And of course that is how it should be; it is after all “settled science.”
There is no evidence the vax has prevented deaths past 9 months or so. And with the immunity penetrating variants, that is true of all sources of immunity.
So it doesn’t matter if they got vaxed or got Covid previously. If they were old and got infected, their odds are not good.
Way too much focus on the vax. It kills far fewer than the virus. The real problem is its effectiveness fades so quick.

The truth is that the ONLY thing that we really knew for sure at the very start of Covid was that older people were more the major risk group and that young people did not get sick and show symptoms
