NATO defense ministers will gather this week for a ministerial meeting, but one topic of discussion will be anything but routine: the risk that Russian President Vladimir Putin might use nuclear weapons in Europe. The recent massive, disproportionate missile attacks launched against Ukraine in response to the truck bombing of the Kerch Bridge reinforce the notion that the Kremlin remains unpredictable.
Although Russian use of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) against non-nuclear Ukraine seems unlikely for several reasons, including the fact that it may frustrate Russia’s broader goals, Western military officials can and must think through their potential responses. Doing so is inherently difficult given the many variables in play, but there are options that would punish Moscow and safeguard alliance interests without necessarily propelling the West up a nuclear escalation ladder.

There has been no US civil defense planning since the early 1960’s. Up until now everyone knew what would happen in a nuclear exchange and tried to avoid it.
The US civilian population will see over 100 million deaths, there will be little to no infrastructure left above ground. Government officials who reach DUMB’s will live and preppers.
There will be no back to normal for the entire world. It will be medieval...
Is there any part of the 70s Biden isn’t going to bring back to us?
Incompetent President? Check.
Out of control inflation? Check.
Bear market? Check.
Threat of Nuclear war? Check.
Ridiculous gas prices? Check.
Hollowed out military? Check.
Music by bread? wait, we’ve been spared that at least!
Because our idiot President continues to push Putin into one.
For a while I was collecting Civil Defense pamphlets and noticed how the 1950/60 ones were written man to man, equal to equal, telling the fathers how to secure their homes and basements, what equipment, tools, and supplies to store, how to deal with radiation, all the common know-how stuff that men have always sought and shared.
As the pamphlets got more modern they became more condescending and feminized, the information was so general, light, and vague that it became useless, have a flashlight, batteries, go to a shelter nonsense.
It’s pretty accurate, look at the nonsense floating around NYC with their posters about a nuclear attack like all will be fine in a few weeks.
The culture has become more feminized and weak and we will pay for in the future. My wife of thirty years, father was a Korean war vet and an alpha male in every sense of the word. She detests beta males, and can’t stand having them around her.
